I saw MattR,
I got out this morning in the Targa 86, did a full run on a tank of fuel, about 200ks. Think I may have got a little carried away. Car handles well, I was enjoying it! So all good for the weekend.
Lots of mx5s out today.

Re: Willowbank 300 on 3-4 May
Tbro and I had a good day. The new tyres are roaded and put away for qually. The old tyres have been cleaned up on the track ready for practice and scooter is sounding crisp and going like a train. The only problem all day was I couldn't have a go due to the racing suit having shrunk and the zip giving up on holding my fat gut in. Thankfully I have a suit arriving tomorrow morning, or the race tape will be coming out to seal me in.

Quickest car on track Holden astra 1:19
Targa 86, had little problems, P1 clutch boiled the fuild, re-bleed ( I s#it myself, thought I had done a gear box or clutch), Got through P2, no problems. Put the non gentleman driver in for Quailly, with a 1:28.
All set for Sunday, fingers crossed, to get the car around safe and clean for my first session, then hand it over to the gun.

Natsoft only shows the main driver, not the codriver.
Who ripped the rear bar off the car Toppertee? Looked a little unpleasant.

Re: Willowbank 300 on 3-4 May
We are in sunny QLD, yesterday was rainy and miserable all day…. We only managed a handful of laps when the clutch packed it in and was slipping. Fortunately we found Jim from Race Clutch in Brisbane who was a fantastic bloke and made us a new clutch in 3 hours. Today was a better day and the car is going great now, we qualified in the low 1:24s which is right at the pointy end of Div 2 which is where we were hoping to be. Tomorrow is the day when the trophies are handed out so we will have a red hot crack, for those interested there will be a livestream of the race broadcast on the net I believe a link will be on the QR website. A big thanks to Michael for letting us pinch the Hydra-wash car for the weekend.

Thanks Ross but that didn't answer my question - what car?
I see Nigel mentioned 'Targa86' so should I assume he is running with Tony Bonanno in the Toyota 86?
I know MattR is running with tbro in 'Scooter' - must have found the racetape!

Hey roger
I'm in the 86 with nick. It's listed as tony as the driver, little bit of a cock up with entry.
Nicks the quicker of the drivers Haha.
Nick ripped the rear bummer off in turn two, oil on the track.
I had a couple of spins on Friday. Really nice car to driver.

Re: Willowbank 300 on 3-4 May
Should be fun,
Lots of cars, both Practice sessions, where pretty full on. Got a feeling there will be sheep stations up for grabs tomorrow. Cars going off and plenty of dick waving (Some very fast cars and drivers)
There a quite a few sub 1:20 cars, so It will be interesting to see if they can run with out going under the minimum time limit.
I do feel a little funny about driving someone else car. Chris and the team are really nice bunch of guys.
I just want to keep it clean and hand over plenty of car for my team mate, to put the heat on and bring it home Keep your fingers crossed for me mate!

Re: Willowbank 300 on 3-4 May
Will do, I could even make it there later - depends!
The Astra has a very good and quick driver and I am surprised at the speed of the Excels there, having checked Natsoft. Interested also to see how the Deckspeed [correct me if I'm wrong] goes -- continuing the NSW assault on QLD tracks by MX5's!!
Good safe racing to all
