Re: 2013 Victorian 6 Hour Relay
greenMachine the 6hr is on my list of things to do as well. So it looks like 2014 would be a good time for a team from QLD to attend this event especially as my car will be finished and I have a trailer to tow it. Just need another 3 and a few to pit crew. Can 1 car be entered and shared by 2 drivers?

Magpie, if you can't get a QLD team together, you would be very welcome to join one of the NSW teams next year.
Having done this event two years running, I've already decided that next year I'll volunteer to be a team manager and give someone else the chance to have a drive.
I was "the man who nearly had his mirror taken off by a Mustang on the back straight". Looks very impressive on the GoPro video! Scared the daylights out of me at the time because I was focussing on overtaking two other cars at the time and didn't see the Mustang coming around southern loop, and squeeze through on the inside! It was a lefthand drive Mustang and he would have had no idea of the gap between our cars - was probably about a foot between our mirrors and happened just as I changed into 4th gear ... about 130km/hr.
Yes, you can dual enter a car, although it's not recommended and should be considered as a last resort. It's a two day event and you're likely to do around 150km of track time per driver per day (with four drivers per team). So a dual entered car would do around 600km in total. That's a LOT of stress on the car. The car from Ed's team that broke down (clutch failure) was dual entered and that meant that Ed and Stewart had to complete the rest of the day between them. Each driver is restricted to two hours maximum, and careful management meant that Ed and Stewart did almost exactly two hours each. There is also a 15 lap maximum per session, and they copped some penalties for doing 16 laps a couple of times. By this stage, they were already well out of the running and were just having fun anyway.

Re: 2013 Victorian 6 Hour Relay
Again thanks. I will try and generate some interest around easter next year. It would be good if we could get the MX5's with ITB's from QLD to attend
