21x Mx-5's (22x drivers) + a Lotus Elise 8)

Couple of late, dumb questions.
Taping of battery terminals. Do I just go crazy with the tape?
Assuming the intent is to stop anything in my empty boot flying around and bridging between them. [Or body panels getting crushed on top of them :( ]

Anyone know if we'll need numbers on both doors?
I've got one set of full sized numbers (bought for Lakeside) but '68' will be tricky to make again (quickly) with electrical tape. Might have to pop past Ian Boetcher on the way through this arvo. Might pick up some window numbers too for future CAMs events.
I know numbers aren't confirmed yet but hoping I can just add a simple "1" in tape if '68' is already taken by a Porsche (which I highly expect).

Fingers crossed that yr is now correct with 0mm right through until Tuesday.
"up to 24 cars on track at the same time" and with me being the slowest, I'm going to need the roof down for visibility. Done very little road driving with the roof up.

No need to go crazy with the tape. If the car is scrutineered they will let you know and how to rectify it.

Numbers are difficult as they vary from event to event, however putting a 1 in front of your MX5 car club track number is possibly a good idea.

24 on the track at once at Morgan park should not be an issue, remember this is not racing! The briefing will let us know what is expected of us. However personally I try and make sure I check all my mirrors braking, turning in, apexing, exiting and when going straight :)

To get you in the mood

Our weather modelling is pretty consistent with it being dry in the morning tending to showers later in the morning, with a wet afternoon. Our 72 hour model (which gives 3 hour windows) is probably the most pessimistic, showing showers starting around 10 am with rain getting heavier in the afternoon.

Our 36 hour model (which gives 1 hour windows) is only up to 10 am Sat morning, and is showing showers forming SSW of Warwick and the first of them brushing Warwick at about that time. I'll keep an eye on it through the day and update.

Yr suggests cloud moving in but no rain until mid-evening.

Okay, our detailed 36 hour model showing very light showers moving in mid-morning (10 - 11 am). Warwick is on the edge of the southern cell of the rain event (it runs all the way up to Gympie, guessing it's stalling over the ranges) which is centred over the triangle defined by Toowoomba, Gatton and Warwick so it's on the edge of the shower band. Looks like it'll be on and off through the afternoon, which will make it interesting!

Looks fine outside where I am, 13 hours and 140 km from the track. 8)

Little fella's had a tub, everything except the GoPro and food is packed, blue triangle's been applied, got some clear tape, paperwork's sorted and in the glovebox. Had a little scare with the SCA fire extinguisher showing empty (so that'll make for an interesting discussion next week), quickly whipped over to Big W and got a replacement, so that's sorted.

Early start in the morning and we're on our way.

OK Magpie - if you are in Warwick facing NE then look over your shoulder!!

Car washed, tyres blackened, onion sandwiches made, cordial chilled and I'm not even competing!!

Spent the morning watching practice for the Lakeside Tribute meet - 120 cars has maxed it out!

Rog - we've had this for a while, but BOM are trialling this for the public:

It was Show Day in Warwick today.
That came as a bit of a surprise.
Few places open for dinner and no supermarkets open for supplies. Will have to raid the servo in the morning.

Slug Dub. I can't get any messages through, sorry. No luck today I'm afraid. Got there just before closing but they don't stock anything. We'll just have to get creative tomorrow. Unless you can print something tonight.

Made up a few blue triangles at work today if anyone needs them. Off 3M stock so hopefully shouldn't damage paint. Free to the brave!

Be safe and don't do anything silly guys and girls. Remember... you're a very, VERY long way from home.
