Thanks Guys. The detail was kind of accidental. I forgot that last time I just put up points only

Looks like you guys have great turn outs, are cars other than mx5s welcome? I have a Toyota MR-S and just starting to get into track days, ran 69 seconds on the clubman and thought mx5 groups might be a good group to run with.

Yep other cars are always welcome.
I ran a 1:13.0868 when I first started doing track days (QR - Clubman 21/05/12), now doing a 1:05.2932 on the same layout, same car (different engine was a 1.6 now a 1.9 but still naturaly aspirated) and same driver. Aiming for a 1:03 in 2016.

Great to hear, I will keep a look out for one of the next sessions.
Nice improvement. 1.05 is quick, 1.03 is flying. I have a bit of time to make up with driver improvement and maybe a little more once I start playing with the cars set up. Undecided if I want to run in next years Time Attack series and what class or just stick to club run days, depending on that decision will dictate what else can be done to the car (eg do I get a gt wing or standard spoiler to comply with class rules ect).

2ZZ + C60 swap <3
I was looking for a spyder before the MX5 but so hard to find a manual one since they only really sold the SMT here. In typical fasion, 2 hours after I put a deposit down on my MX5 in Sydney a white manual MR2 comes up in the same suburb with decent kms and price and manual..... and I end up having to drive past the bloody thing 3 times in Sydney picking up my MX5!

Haha they are few and far between. I bought mine around 2 years ago and was lucky that is sat unsold for months.
Growing up watching Hot Version touge battles with the Techno Pro Spirit MR-S and then buying a celica and falling in love with the engine, it was only natural that one day I would build a 2zz MR-S

Ahhh.... so this means that you must have the heavily lowered red one that came on the Brisbane Celica Club / Toymods cruise at the end of last year I think it was? I was the one talking to you on Gumtree and had the silver '97 Celica on the cruise
