Your absence....(well, more correctly, your blue NA's absence) was noted. It was a pretty tame field without your thing, Mark!

Thanks Vat, I enjoyed the last Happy Laps at Lakeside even with worn out rear brakes, was not going fast enough to need any brakes :)

Anyway I will get to drive it in anger on Saturday, pending dyno tune on Monday. However I'm confident that it will be ready as Automotive Plus has arranged for it to be detailed (by the same person who looks after Danny's) on the Tuesday. Will miss the QR track day on 14/09 however it may make Max Attack on 19/09, general practice at QR on 26/09 and will be home for the dodgy day on 10/10 before heading to Sydney on 13/10...

Oh yeah, anyone else coming up from the south hit the breathalyser at the Dohles Rocks Road exit - young policeman was astounded at the number of MX-5's coming through, was relieved to hear there was an event on at Lakeside...unlike the sad young lass in the silver Focus whose trip home had apparently been truncated...

Was that going to Lakeside Craig or on the way home? I had a great run up the Bruce Highway and the car just 'sang'! Loves the cobwebs being blown out!

Going to, Rog. Trip home was good, guessing Bridge to Brisbane took a lot of people off the roads in the morning.

Yep, I got hit by the RBT there too, but no worries for me. I'm too much of a light weight these days to be able to get drunk enough to still be over the next day! I wonder if they checked for mod plates on things like roll bars and seats while you're stopped?

Not normally if there was only one Officer, would require raising the bonnet and checking but they do have the ability to take your rego number and thru the computer system if they see a rollbar they can tell via Transport if a mod plate has been issued

Yep that was fun (thanks Adam) and Sean with his green P's in the splash green NB was seen plotting his return chatting enthusiastically with Grants son. The young'uns seemed to like it. When I asked Sean when he was going to buy an MX-5 he was far less negative on the idea, he's been eyeing off Toyota 86's until now.

Good to see Keith, all the young guys yesterday had a ball! Regardless of which way, no garage is complete without an MX5 with an 86 parked beside it! Amazing how many in the 86/BRZ Club would love an MX5 as well, so I guess it works the other way! It's just the decisions like I have to go to Wagga Wagga this coming weekend and it's a coin toss whether the 86 or the NB - it's the storms that worry me not the fact that the 86 has done 2,000km in the past 12 months and 750 of that in the past 3-4 weeks

When we went through there were two officers on the bags, and one on the iPad. I'm sure she would have been doing regos and blue plates.
I noticed a Skyline parked up afterward. Wonder if it was DD, rego or defect?

Let's see, Skyrine, pulled over and parked up by plod....

My guess would be both defect and rego......
