Re: Time Attack - Maximum Attack - QR Nov 8
probably wasn't the best day for me to drive a mates car i'd never dríven before (red gt4 celica) on a circuit i've never been on before - i think i was second slowest of everyone ;) some pretty serious machinery out there!
who was the na mx5 in the same class as me (street)? good driving - i was in a bloody turbo awd (which needs some serious suspension/handling love, but nevertheless) and you were kicking my arse ;) hoping to get my na6 out on a track soon.

Hi Ryan, that would be Tim Janke in the white NA. He's a mx5cartalk member....I just can't remember his name on here.

I was behind you for one of the early sessions. You waved me past on the straight but I didn't have enough power to pass you

I was in performance na class though as I had semi's on. Did your day end early? Or you move up a group? Didn't see the car too much after the first few sessions.

we left around lunch - it was my mates car and the car both started overheating and i was scrubbing the hell out of one of the front tyres (car seriously needed a alignment).
lol, i waved you on because i felt like i was slowing you down around the corners - as evidenced -

Re: Time Attack - Maximum Attack - QR Nov 8
That's unfortunate. Hope you still had a good time. I always liked the gt4's.
haha, yeah...I was a little faster in the corners. Thanks for waving me by, but you'll quickly learn if you get an mx5 (without FI) unless the other car slows down, you can't overtake it on a straight.

ah, my perception of speed was skewed - seemed almost every other car on the track was considerably faster than the gt4. i was slowing down but evidently not enough. yes, any track day is always a great day! already have a na6, yet to stick it on a track, guess i'll learn that

Wish I could take credit for this one, but it was Shane, aka plohl.
