Great news! We have 4 races of 6 laps each.
In round 4 we had 3 races, 6 laps, 8 laps and 10, reduced to 9 laps.
In the 8 lap race I was lapped by 3 cars. In the 9 lap race I was lapped by 12 cars but in the 6 lap race I was not lapped at all.
I'm hoping to be a bit quicker for round 5 with better tyres and a bit more practice.

Today's the day.
Todd is back in his own car. Should be another showdown between Verne and Todd at the pointy end.
Expecting great racing through the field. 16 MX-5s, 6 NCs.
I'm hoping to be able to come a closer last.

Good to see you again yesterday Paul. The track felt slippery but the times for many suggest it was not as bad as it felt. Bring on the final round in 3 weeks time. See you then.

Slippery, really?
I thought there was more grip than normal.
May be a road tyre thing in the cold though.
I PB'd and could constantly get around 1'12.5 or less in the NC except for the first 2 laps in the first run where I was being held up.

It was a great day, I too thought it was a bit skatey. Last race felt a lot better, good to see a big Feild, hopefully we have a full house next round!

I was expecting to better my PB of 1:14.6 but could only manage a 1:14.8 and only once at that. The 1:14.6 was on 235/40R17 Federal RS-RR on 8"rims.
Yesterday I was on 215/45R17 Hankook Ventus TD Z221 on 8" rims. I was hoping for a significant improvement. The Hankooks didn't feel slippery and are way softer.

Yes the track feel was a bit unusual for. Personally I was probably about 0.5 off my PB and when it felt slower in race one I did my quickest time??? Andy did PB's, Ian Caldwell, Scotty.
I suspect it was probably a combination of a driver struggling (being the first time I have raced as an over 50 yo may have been feeling sorry for myself) and my tyres being well past their best. Looking forward to the final round.

you still go all right for an old bloke!
good fun day out, had a great time coming from the back in race 3 and then a good battle with Andy and Ian in race 4
Only my second day out on the AO50'S and the car feels a lot more predictable and consistent then the slicks I was running previously

I've heard it said that slicks don't get warm enough in a 6 lap race while R-specs are not so good for more than 6 laps.

Yer 6 lap races are hard on slicks, I looked at my RaceChrono laps on slicks my first laps go 1.13, 1.11, 1.05, 1.04 on nankang AR1s they go 1.09, 1.05, 1.05, 1.05 That was the first time in the cup I run semi's, I think that's played a big part on the weekend for me. I got grip from the start, instead of trying to keep the car on the track for 2 laps then chasing down
