Hi Nuddy,
I Cams don't send you your new licence by say Tuesday (they can be very slow sending them out) I suggest you give them a call and they will email you a temporary licence to make sure you are covered for the MX5 Cup. You may need to do something similar if your log book is not issued quickly.
If dry I would think your Z221's should be quicker than the RSRR but you will work that out on the Saturday. I know a couple of cup cars are intending to head for the Friday Track day there as well. See you at the track on the 2nd.

Or you can login to CAMS member website on your phone and show the document checker your license status on that.
It has worked for me a couple of times when I 'misplaced' my cams license.

Being a race meet I strongly suggest you take a hard copy of a Cams a confirmation letter if you don't have the licence.

Re: MX5 Cup 2017 Round 2017 2 July 2017
Great days racing yesterday. A -10C start to the day soon hotted up when we got the racing under way.
Here's my vid of the last race of the day. A hectic start with Alaine going round at the first corner and a couple of laps battle with Andy while he got some temp in the slicks. That settled into a waiting game for Andy and Daniel in front to slow themselves up while fighting. Then at the top of the hill Daniel and I got the same idea at the same time trying the over/under on Andy and banged wheels (my first wheel to wheel contact while racing - damage is not too bad). That and a nasty tank slapper from Daniel (in his oddly handling car) slowed me up in into the clutches of Michael and Alaine, crossing the line with three one-hundredths in it.
Good times, Thanks to Verne for all the organisation and everyone for showing up and keeping the vibes good!

Good work Stuart and great wheel work as usual. Your videos are always good value and I have not doubt you have far more fun than I in most races. Unfortunate contact, you had a great run pegging them back in the previous lap.
Notable point: managing to stay on line while adjusting your rear vision mirror going through the kink
Happy to contribute to the series and hope we can continue to grow it. See you in a few weeks.

Thanks mate, it was about half way through the kink that I realised that was a bad idea... two hands for beginners!
We generally have good racing mid-pack, you're welcome to join us
Congrats on another great win!

Great footage Stuart! That Black NC really had it in for you.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Very tempted to join you Stu. If I could afford David Stone's car I would be there. I don't think buying a second race car would be healthy for my home life and after 18 years I am too attached to my 10AE to let it go.

Good racing Stuart! Bit sh*t about the contact.. I'm sure Daniel didn't see you there, that's two blind people you had encounters with
Sorry again, still feel sh*t for what I did to you. See you next round for more good racing mate!

Re: MX5 Cup 2017 Round 2017 2 July 2017
I made it.
CAMS medical was a delay. I had to get a optometrist to test for colour blindness (passed 100%). Then had to get blood pressure down to the CAMS requirement. I don't have hypertension for my age but CAMS require That I have a healthy pressure for a 17 year old.
Log book arrived last Tuesday but the licence only arrived today so I had to get a temporary licence emailed.
Supersprint on Saturday I could not crack the 1:15 and I finally managed a 1:14.61 in race 2.
I am running 200 treadwear tyres now so reckon if I get back on the 80s I should get at least a second off.
Racing is fun! I thought it would be - not disappointed.
I must have the least powerful car, judging by the gap as we approached turn 1. But then I had to brake earlier than I usually do before turn 2. Slower than usual through 2 but right amongst the tail enders up the hill. Same problem braking for the 'fishhook' and even for the final turn onto the straight. Then of course they got away down the straight.
Verne didn't lap me in race 1 and he was the only one to lap me in race 2. Race 2 I was lapped by 12. so the target for round 5 will be to not get lapped.
Won Class E - the only competitor in class. Hopefully for round 5 I can get into class D and mix it up with the tailenders.

Re: MX5 Cup 2017 Round 2017 2 July 2017
Congrats on you first race meet Nuddy, thats awesome to make the leap and feel like you had it under control, even if you were down a few HP. I remember sitting on my first grid shitting myself, you can hear on the video me saying "What the f*#k do I do now?!".
It was good racing all round, my contact was unfortunate but i've had a good run of 2 years with no contact... just one of those things. Daniel is always fair but a good challenge.
I've never had someone apologise so much about a bit of a chop Todd, it's all good... makes me feel a bit bad about posting it
Just so you know I wasn't making it up!
looking forward to round 5!

Todd.
That is not very nice. Lucky Stuart is quick with his wheel work.
