Thanks Rob, great photos! Loved the ones of Russ and I, we had a fierce completion going all day and ended up 0.0177sec apart
For those who were not competitors, MX5 Club ended up winning the Club Championship from ARDC by just 131 points - 3157 to 3026. A pretty close result, which went our way thanks to the committed participation of our members. That makes three on the trot!
Hero of the series (from our point of view) would have to be Luke, who not only won his class (2C) but brushed aside sundry Porsches, WRXs, HSVs to take home the Type 2 win!! Other Class winners were Scott in 2A, Ralph in 3B, Chris in 4B. Special mention to Chris, who yesterday was the outright second fastest car, and just missed out on a sub 60sec lap by the proverbial bees d!ck.
Bring on 2017!

I never met a horsepower I didn't like (thanks bwob)

Re: SMSP Supersprint Round 7 16th October 2016
Ed, the win was by an even smaller margin. Even though I missed this round to run at the Winton 10 Hours, I've been incorrectly awarded 17 points in class 2B, as they stuffed up and allowed another competitor to run with my competition number. I've sent Bob an email and once they fix the problem, our win will have been by 114 points only. Well done to everybody who competed in the Supersprint Championship this year!
By the way, the MX5 Club NSW did very well at Winton this weekend, finishing 5th out of 41 teams participating in the event.

Great photos Rob.
Thanks Ed for everything you did to help keep the team in order to take out the third straight title, a great effort by the collective.
Congrats to the class winners and special round of applause for Luke, well done mate, you deserve it.
Well done Gus and the rest of the team at Winton over the weekend. A great result.
The MX5 club NSW is a true force in a amateur Motorsport and there are a few people in particular who make these things happen. Well done and thank you for everything.
