FOSC SUN NOV 16 SMP STH
Another FOSC race day on the South Circuit. The last few have been great fun in the unique FOSC way, with a number of MX5s. For the racers there will be quali and 3 races.
They will also have Regularity, and Come and Try It.
Come and Try It offers first timers a guided introduction to tracking your car. You get a track walk, with some instruction over 3 sessions before the final session with Regularity.
Anyone interested email charles@fosc.com.au or www.fosc.com.au

I did regularity last time and enjoyed it a lot. Intending to enter for Nov 16 in the same event.

Re: FOSC SUN NOV 16 SMP STH
Sounds like we will have half a dozen or so mx5s at this event, across regularity and racing. Hopefully it is not as hot as yesterday was in Sydney.....

Thanks Craig. I guess I'll see you there. Let's hope scrutineering goes ahead.
After so long out of the car I'm looking forward to racing again. Hope it all stays together ie both car and driver.

I just received notification that scrutineering is in fact on the Saturday at 4.30pm. Can even camp overnight if you'd like.

Wow! Great day, p'd down early we all got soaked. Then howling wind and dry track, then magic sunshine.
V fun and SO good to be racing in Sydney looking forward to the 2 Cup rounds here next year!
Will post some vid when I get a chance to put it together. (Must finish beer first).

Re: FOSC SUN NOV 16 SMP STH
Somewhat slippery for the practice sessions especially for Regularity A which was my group. This meant you had to guess your Regularity target time. As it was forecast to clear I listed a dry track time as my target. Unfortunately I was held up by two Datsun 240s in front of me of which one in particularly was a persistent blocker. The driver ever attempted to block a very fast Audi A8. As I couldn't get past this particular car due to less power I was unable to meet my target time. Still had fun but wind and sun burn a bit of an issue as there is no shelter at SMSP South Circuit. Good roll-up of MX5 entrants including a new owner (two weeks). Enjoyed seeing everyone and socialising.

Was good to meet a few of you yesterday and have a chat.
It was good viewing up on the hill as you all came up through the twisties, even if did almost get blown over by the wind
Look forward to joining in next year just to decide whether to do regularity or race lol

Re: FOSC SUN NOV 16 SMP STH
Nice to meet you yesterday mx5002. With times like those in your signature I'd say you're ready to race.
Good close racing yesterday. I was a bit rusty but can't complain overall. Looking forward to the next one.

You looked pretty tidy John. Ditch the social commitment and come racing with us in 2 weeks time and blow some more rust off ;)

I'll hopefully get to one (Or more) of these days in the MX5
Their days are well run, just didn't have much fun on South Circuit in the Porka

Hi Craig, I'm showing my wife your comment. Expect a call

Btw, ditch the beer and post some video. Beer will only slow you down. Man you where fast yesterday. On second thoughts my shout at the pub.

Haha Oooops
Working on the vid, gnashing my teeth over iMovie. Need to learn Final Cut Pro. I did send you a link to a short clip for some footage of you.
