I spoke to Matthew Ronke yesterday and he agreed to add MX5s to the categories, entry forms have now been updated to reflect this.

My entry form is ready to go, with both Super TT and MX-5 races selected.
Who else will be entering for the MX-5 races?

Yerrss right. It's going to be cold, cool temps and strong breezes. Even the local boys are ready for it. Showers too.

Yep, gonna be average weather, but I'm sure the racing will warm things up

My car is still in bits though, lots of work to do to get it ready for Sunday...

Close run thing, but I'll be there. Just got the car finished and on the trailer in the howling freezing wind, time will tell whether it can complete a lap (let alone do so at speed!).

Re: MRA ALL BRITISH 29 JUNE WP
Crappy day weather wise, but some of the best racing all year so far in the MX5 races today! Final was an epic 4 way battle on dry tyres in worsening wet conditions with three different leaders at various stages, and many had the unfortunate experience of testing the rally credentials of their cars
Again, thanks to the committee for all their hard work. Vids coming

Re: MRA ALL BRITISH 29 JUNE WP
I agree with "zossy1",
Thanks to the MX-5 Cup committee for getting us these additional races, and to Wakefield Park for organising the event.
The weather was crappy, but on the plus side, that gave drivers with less experience and/or less power, like me, the chance to mix it with the faster guys. Everyone was great, giving each other plenty of room, and the only stupid move I saw all weekend was my own, spinning in front of half the field at the first corner in race 2. Doh!
Thanks to everyone, and I look forward to the next official MX-5 Cup round on 24th August.
I also will upload some videos, with more slipping and sliding caught on film than a day at Wet n Wild!

Re: MRA ALL BRITISH 29 JUNE WP
Weather was a bit crappy, but kind of evened up things a little bit.
Was interesting following some of the more powerful cars in the wet because it was obvious that they couldn't get the power down without sliding. Was definitely an exercise in car/throttle control.
Had a nice little dual with Luke in the final race, where I had much better traction through the corners so i could get side by side, but the moment we got to any straights he would power away.
I just need to stop locking my brakes.. damn you guys and your ABS.

Re: MRA ALL BRITISH 29 JUNE WP
Fantastic drive Chris, congrats on the win in race 3, especially in those conditions on slicks with no ABS! Great video, a bit of a master class in wet driving - i'm sure all those secrets you didn't want to share are in there somewhere.
Its really interesting to see your own race from the outside.
Well done to David too for picking up third (qualy and race 3), you were loving the wet conditions after all the complaining on the Saturday night!
Big thanks from me too, to the committee, for making it happen for everyone. The committee is making this series such a great thing to be a part of (though I personally would be pushing to make that round count towards the championship?
).
There was such close fair racing, it was great to see - and stoked to get my first win! I'm aiming for about thursday to put my race vids up (to give me some time to give them a little razzle dazzle!), that seems to be when the high starts to wear off from the weekend previous. If we can get as many of everyones videos up as possible, i'll try and do that youtube video syncing thing again so we can watch some of the battles from everyone involved's perspectives.
