Such an awesome venue, was my first time at the Mountain so can't comment on the old surface but
currently it's in awesome condition.

Was concerned about even qualifying for the ProdSports which allowed 2014 Porsche GT3's to run, rules
are for writing but not reading now in that category :( so entered the Regularity instead.

Due to some safety cars, a red flag and a DNF of my own making managed about 20 laps in the regularity,
could only manage 212 kph bouncing off the rev limiter in 5th at the very end of Conrod.

Ended up with a PB of 2:50.6905 and a terrible regularity score not that many were trying too hard to be "regular"

Some very nice man who I have forgotten the name of took the time to Burn me a CD of some photos he took and find me.

Sure it's a little expensive for some track time, but I rate Bathurst as more fun and flowing than Spa-Francorchamps
and it's a little bit more convenient for sure.

I even got the full authentic Bathurst experience with the TAFE mechanics shed helping me fix the car.

Didn't see too many NSW/ACT people but there were a few Victorians and SA people up for the day.

Really cool!

I got some pics of a total, silvestro rx7 and a RsCs special Porsche.
Plus a couple of comments about the standard of driving in the prod sports. "Someone will die here one day"

Think you picked the right event to run in.

A good contingent of MX5s running in Regularity and a handful running Prod Sports. I was "assisting" Glenn T on his first visit to Mount Panorama and managed to grab a few photos of the other regularity guys (and gals!) while I was on the job. Fantastic weather too; great for motorsport!

Fantastic. Is on the 'must do' list for sure.

Nasty crash, Ric Shaw in Sam's rx7, hit a rare porker. Both ok apparently.

Tony thanks for the photos, they're fantastic. Really nice to meet you and the other MX5'rs. Great weekend, both cars came home relatively unscathed. Look forward to catching up next year. Chris

As promised, I've uploaded Sunday's photos to Flickr. Feel free to download what ever you want. Please let me know if you can't access the page and I'll put them up some place else.

Russell, I'm sorry but I didn't get any more photos of you on Sunday; Glenn, all your photos were on the CD.

Regards...

Hi tony,

Definitely no need to apologize. The photos you put on disk were awesome enough. Thank you so much for doing that. Very much appreciated.
