Any motorbike shop will fix you up with a helmet that complies with AS/NZS1698 and is therefore accepted at all supersprints. Aldi even sell them occasionally. A full-face helmet is highly recommended by CAMS for a driver of an open car. Prices start at around $50 and go high enough to make your nose bleed. A proper Snell SA automotive sport helmet is only required by CAMS at International level race/superkart/rally/speed events.

MCA Motorcycle Accessories - 3 stores but the two I know are: 36-38 Wentworth Avenue, Sydney and 321 Parramatta Road, AUBURN. Big range of helmets. No affiliation btw, they just happen to be almost equidistant in each direction from my work..
