Very smooth Dennis, looks good.
BTW, do you have a 3.9 diff?
At turn 11 (the hairpin on south circuit part), you seem to apex about a metre from the left edge of the track. Is that deliberate?
At turn 15 (the right hand hairpin) you brake later than me and take a different line. I have never been happy with my line through that corner, so might try your line next time. Thanks.

Thanks David,
I believe the car has the standard 3.63 rear end that came in the nb8b.. I should have changed it when I installed lsd.

Turn 11 I just always out brake myself, but 15 I think it's better to come in from wide and use the downhill to accelerate out. There's alot of track on the exit if you need it! :D

Hi Guys,

Not sure how to get videos on here. This is a link to a video of a couple of laps from session 3 the first one being the 2nd clear of traffic lap for the day. http://youtu.be/9wJyYTV6X8k

http://youtu.be/9wJyYTV6X8k

I know we all had problems finding some clear track but I still had a great day and it was good to meet some of your from the forum and the club.

Please excuse my bad habits. A few things that need tidying up which videos help to make obvious. See you all on the track soon.

"forcedfive"
If you use the "youtu" styles for your youtu.be link, it will embed the video, like this:

Your car certainly does get up and go, as shown in my video linked earlier in this thread when you passed me down the straight during session 4. Woooosh!

We all have bad habits. You might look at doing one of the track driving days, for example Trackschool with John Boston at Wakefield Park. I have done 2 of their days, and found them very helpful.

Thanks David.

Yes some tuition would not go a stray, that is for sure. I am happy with the way the car is going, just need to get some front camber and get rid of the huge muffler so my car can be heard on my videos and it will make a little more free power (well not quite free as it will need a tune). I am trying to get some seat time as it has been some time since the car has been dríven with any purpose so it is good to have strung a few days together over the last couple of months. Look forward to seeing you at the track soon.

Cheers.

My two best laps of the day were 2:22.90 and 2:22.86, both in the last run. According to my PBox, combining my best sectors of the day I could have achieved a theoretical best lap of 2:22.11s, so still room for improvement. :D

Video of my PB lap of 2:22.86:

Rd5 this Sunday (GP circuit), and I was looking forward to backing up here after PI - the GP circuit is one of my favourites. However the racecar needs a wheel alignment, and a test session to bed in new brakes, easily done! Famous last words - Murphy came to visit and now the towcar has a blown head gasket, and may be not worth fixing  .

As a result I am running the green car as a substitute vehicle (will at least get some club points), and that means the chase for the class win is over for this year :( :( (I missed the first round). Don't worry David, I will still be there to keep you honest for the following two rounds  ...

That sucks. Did you make it home from PI before the towcar died or did you have to nurse it home?

You bet, I am seriously hissed ...

Fortunately the ute got me home fine, just running a bit hotter than usual. Because the GM was still covered in stickers and numbers, I used the ute to go into town on Tuesday - no apparent reason not to. When I got home the water was down, and filling it ended with most of the water on the ground - massive bubbling! The tranny is on the way out too, so not a good look :(

Looking for a late AU/early BA Falcon ute, few on Carsales so will probably go down on Saturday and maybe have a look at a couple.

Ed, if you don't have a tow vehicle sorted by the September supersprint, I will come down and tow your POS race car to Wakefield for you, just so you can't use that as an excuse :-)
