Oh if its turbo then youll only need a 1/4 of a tank before it needs to be flat bedded back home !! Ha

Seriously i did not think of a SE but i still think you will easily be fine with a full tank.
Espeically for a beginner as you prob will not be that heavy on the right foot.

For club style events i show up with between 1/4 and 1/2 and have never run out.
Speed of streets i usually need closer to 3/4 ;) but that is a hell of a lot more track time then the club days.

Now that mine has a race engine, at supersprints it uses nearly 1/4 tank per run

 We'll see lol

I've considered a small jerry can, though I don't think the missus will appreciate her cloths smelling of fuel with it in the boot with the suitcase on the trip down :P

If my missus is worried about that, she can carry the suitcase in her lap hahaha.
I'm only getting 300 k's per tank, and I'm not sure I'll be able to improve that within the next 2 weeks, so atm the jerry can is definitely coming.

Just dont fill the jerry can untill your at goulburn. No point in carrying the fuel down with you.

:| I'm sure I thought of that previously, but for some reason I was now planning to fill it up before leaving.
Thanks for pointing out the obvious hahaha

As beginners you might as well turn up with a full tank. You won't start setting competitive times until you've got a few more meetings under your belt, so the extra weight won't make much difference.

I usually use 1/2 tank in a single entered car. If I start to burn fuel a bit faster than that then I just drive into Goulburn between runs to re-fill or fill a jerry - there's enough time to do it with a single entry, probably not for a doubler though.

If anyone from the Hunter area is heading down for this, and the charity lunch, let me know.

We are heading down Saturday morning as a group, most likely joining up with Sydney and RPM at Picton.

I'll be on Wakefield Park for my first time this Sunday.

I've done 2 of the training days at Marulan so I'm really looking forward to getting on a proper race track.

Wakefield Park is a great track for learning.
Just focus on your lines and braking points, don't worry about setting lap records, and enjoy the day!

Another Amazing MX5 Club Day!!!

Awesome cold dry weather and no huge incidents to slow the day.

I managed a 1.12.5 on the Club Layout but i am not sure what lap that was yet.
Here is a 1.12.7 using the start finish line.

I am really happy with the 12's.
Starting to wonder if an 11 is possible on the Ad08r's??

That is crazy town!! 8) 8)

The girlfriend grabbed a few pics which i will put up ASAP.

Hope others have some vids to share.

Can no wait for the next one!!!

Thanks to all who helped the day happen!!

^ Agreed, anouther great club track day, the overcast weather kept it pretty cool during the day which was nice.

The cool weather did trouble me a bit though in my low horsepower car as the big horsepower guys were killing me in the first few laps until my tyres got some heat into them.

Congrats to Russ for getting his Supercharged NC down into a 1:09.10 too, very impressive!

I ended up taking a couple of 10ths off my time and got into the 9's which was nice with a 1 09.87.

Here's a video of that lap:

Here's a video of some spills too, most of them were with someone hot on my tail so I opted to ditch it in straight at the first sign of trouble to avoid an incident. A special guest appearance from Phil too :)
