Very fun day
I find the track quite hard to learn but got closer to the mark in my last run. Good to see plenty of familiar faces
I want me some Michelin slicks! Patricks car had unbelievable grip

Re: Club Track Day Eastern Creek South 27 April
first time on eastern creek but managed a 1:05:5
Was shocked at how challenging the track was, very technical and doesn't leave much room for error.
quick video of what was probably my first "quick" lap once I got used to the track. video says 1:05 but this lap was actually probably closer to a 1:06

nice video Phil
that last corner onto the straight in front of the pits was pretty slippery, i had a big moment just after Mark had a spin at the end of your video

Re: Club Track Day Eastern Creek South 27 April
That would be caused by the rear coolant line on my car detonating and putting coolant on my rear wheels and consequently the track. My bad
I didn't have the greatest of days taking into account track time. I broke down on the way to the track when my FPR unwound itself making me late (easy fix but I did spend 30 minutes checking my whole fuel system after an overhaul). Then second session first lap the coolant hose went... pouring coolant all over the rear wheels at T5 so I had to limp it in after spinning. Then spent 2 hours dismantling to get at the hose, then cutting and re-attaching it at the back of the head. Then got 2 more sessions before my FPR un-mounted itself from the intake manifold losing 2 of it's bolts in the process (forgot to loctite it in the rush to get the car ready) so I called it a day. Thankfully Robert Kai helped me out with some spare bolts so I could get home safe. So about 16 laps in total. Car has a lot more in it... for the first time I'm in a while it's going to need to some setup changes though. It's a pendulum bob through the S's going up the hill...but understeers badly in all the low speed stuff with my over-tight diff.
All that said I do like the circuit, so technical, tight and full of elevation change...Just need to remount the FPR, replace another wheel bearing and replace all the factory coolant lines. Then get lots of bum in seat time... Looking forward to June!
Cheers to Patrick and Cameron for the company through all the car calamities....Might as well call us the brotherhood of broken boost!
