It's also almost exactly halfway between Sydney and Melbourne (4.5 - 5 hours). I can see this possibly being a future "neutral" venue for our NSW/VIC Interstate Challenge.

I think a previous post has the proposed layout Bryan, Can't check here at work but will have a look when I get home, so well after 7pm today!

Yes perfect! 20+ years ago obeying speed limits I would do Wagga to Sydney in 4 hours, Melbourne around the same and an easy 2.5 to Canberra. When I think that some days from my place to QR can be THREE hours!!

Looks great - nestled in a valley and running around the edge with a couple ascents/descents. Should be great viewing for spectators too. Petition signed. 8)

Bryan

I will be down there over Christmas so will try and get some photos from the road showing the elevation, it's definately NOT flat!! Maybe more rise and fall than Lakeside!

The track is southside of the Murrumbidgee whilst Oura is northside maybe 4-5km in a direct line - lots of trees etc that would, to me, act as a sound buffer

Who ever said we wanted a neutral venue?
I want every advantage we can get to beat the mexicans!
