2014 NSW Supersprint Championship

Thanks Ed, you are such a nice fellow, I almost (note .. almost) feel bad about taking the championship.
It has been fun, and I do think you had the better driver & car package in 2014, but my consistency and your bad luck (with the tow car failure), tipped the balance.
High point of the year for me had to be the SMSP GP supersprint mid year, when I pipped you by 0.07s in the last run of the day. The look on your face was priceless when I came bouncing down the stairs to tell you after checking the timing.
I plan to do the MX-5 Cup races at Wakefield Park next month. You should come along and seek your revenge! :-)

I have got news for you, David is pretty swift in the dry! Take it from somebody who has traded fastest laps with him ... :wink:

Right now I don't know when my next event will be. I am starting to think of the next club track day as a test day, but I have a daughter's wedding in a few weeks, and they want me to do some more work where I last contracted (next year's racing budget, hmm, $$$$ - sounds attractive) ...

I was starting to plot next year's campaign, but I was reminded tonight of an overseas wedding in May :roll:

... . Nevertheless I will be back in 4B next year, and hopefully the calendar will not be too unkind to me. In any case I will be there to make David's life as difficult as possible as he backs up to try for the triple - and if necessary keep the MW crew in their place, should they get ideas above their station :lol:

Congrats to the guys that won in their classes and beat their pb's throughout the year!

I had a great time dipping my toes into a little bit of motorsport this year!

I'm looking forward to doing a bit of homework and prep to the car (and driver) in the off season to improve on my times more next year

I saw several professional-looking photographers around the circuit so there must be some out there somewhere ...

Speaking of photos, with all the GoPros we have in our team, it might be a bit different if we each apply a small collection of screen grabs?

I hope they had a wide angle lense to get your wing in shot :-)
But seriously, I am also interested in photos to use with a report for the club website and mag.

It was a great year. I didn't make the first couple of rounds but came home with a continuous run.
Well done David for the organisation and well done to all the members of our team.

Ed, as promised, here is a couple of laps chasing you at Wakefield Park in round 6.
You are a bit wild on the first lap, I think with cold tyres.
