Hello MX5 racehounds

Sunday's schedule has been released. We are expecting at least 15 cars with a couple of late entries not on the list.

Briefing:
We will have a briefing for all competitors at Round 4 of the 2014 MX-5 Cup after the general drivers briefing, at 10.15 in the cafeteria. All competitors required to attend.

Trophy Presentation:
This will take place immediately after the last race of the day in a pit lane garage. We will announce which at the morning briefing.

Looks like variable weather for the weekend, which is at least better than we have experienced earlier this week. Look forward to seeing you all there.

Too much damage to my car guys, won't be racing tomorrow.

Really bummed. Whole front of car needs to be unstitched and straightened, many other repairs also required, will take us several months between work and baby and stuff, hope to be back for the AASA ACT titles at the end of November.

Another action packed round done and dusted. Unfortunate to lose Jim on his way to the track, and Chris on Saturday. The rest of us were happy to have magical weather for racing on Sunday, after a wet few weeks beforehand.

Two new entrants to the Cup on the day, Cameron Hallam and Lesa Bunn. Both performed impressively, with Lesa taking the most points of any competitor, and dramatically slashing her times over the day. Well done to both of you.

Points winners across the classes, from class A to E, were:
Daniel Deckers, Craig Durrant, Steve Green, David Lawler, and Lesa Bunn. Well done all.

We have seen a change in the running for the 2014 Cup Championship after this round, with Steve Green leaping to a well deserved first place.

Big thanks to all the supporters from the MX-5 Club, and others who came along on the day to join in the fun. Thanks also to Deckspeed for providing the prize of a drive for Lesa at the MX-5 Club track day draw, and Audio-Technica for prizes of headphones for class winners.

We would particularly like to thank all entrants for competitive and entertaining racing, but good spirited and very sporting conduct once again.

First lap of race 2, featuring Cam and myself side-by-side for the first few corners, neither wanting to give way, but both giving respect and racing room, .... at least I hope I did!
The rest of the lap was a bit untidy, mainly due to the brakes being a bit dodgy :-(
