Going back to the original post regarding getting comfortable with a hans and helmet: I believe the sparco v has a steel frame like my Monaco pro. The steel frame can be bent to set the head rest back. That's how we got mine in. It's only a small tweak. Not so much that you would ever notice unless I told you, but just few mm so that my head isn't pushed forward all time.

Is this tweak because of the HANS? Or because you mounted on the stock rails? Or both?
I elevated the front of the seat 10 or 15 mm using a metal spacer block which gave me a better seat angle, and I haven't felt any need to do anything more now that I have the HANS.

I never met a horsepower I didn't like (thanks bwob)

Re: Using Sparco Sprint V and Hans anyone?
No, I think it had more to do with height and helmet. I don't think the hans really made any difference because when I am strapped in it sits below the metal frame of the seat and presses into the fabric.
Getting the seat in took three attempts across two visits to the fabricators. First we tried the seat on top the standard rails. It was way too high for me. I had to bend my neck just to sit in the car with a helmet on and the roof up. Secondly we tried sitting the seat on top of strips of steel that were on top of the standard floor bumps.
After a few test drives, the bar at the front of the seat pushing into the back of my leg when I pressed the clutch was annoying and the seat was pushing my helmet forward.
The final attempt involved modifying the rear floor bumps to get the back of the seat down onto the floor pan. Then we raked the seat back until the bar was almost a problem again. The final tweak was to bend the seat.
I am only 173 cm tall, but I have a fat arse that I suspect sits me up a few cm higher!
