Phillip Island Classic Car Display 8 & 9 March

Postby emexv » Wed Feb 26, 2014 12:51 pm

I have a handful of tickets for the Shannons Walk display at the Phillip Island Classic (Historics) on the 8th and 9th of March. The ticket is for entry for your car and driver into the track parking in the display area for free. Your passenger gets in cheap ($10 off entry). It would be good to have a display of MX5's together. If you have an MX5 and would like a ticket let me know.
Cheers
Mark

I too will be coming down from Canberra, but in a Falcon, as the MX5 won't carry two bikes and tow a caravan. Looking forward to a fantastic meeting.

Greenmachine - did you get my email with the accommodation address? We will be arriving Thursday afternoon, via Lakes Entrance.

Ok. all ten tickets accounted for. Looks like 8 cars on Saturday and Sunday to be determined. We will have 2 NA's, 4 NB's including 2 SE's and 2 NC's so a good representation across the range. Sunday numbers will depend on how much people enjoy Saturday.

Just found out that this was on this weekend. Was thinking of going but this is a bit sudden. Not sure if I will drive the AW11 down or fly? Have an uncle on the Island so accom should be fine. Are you driving Green?

PeterB & Greenmachine - I am going down to PI via the mountains, arriving Thursday night, 6 of us from Newcastle (I'm the only MX5er),in the Santa Fe, a 60s Fiat 2300 Coupe, and a Prado, staying in Cowes - will catch up with anyone at the MX5 display over the weekend.

Might try that route but would try and leave earlier so be a few hours ahead of you? Too bad the Bonang hwy is not sealed would have detoured down that too.

I will be going on Saturday. Would you like another MX5 to display? (I don't need a ticket).
