Mazda Car Club of Australia does club reg if you are interested. I was going to go down this road but then sold the car.

Is a RWC required or will the club sign off on it?

Re: club regostration
Looks like RWC is going to be required at this stage.

Re: club regostration
Club two is too limited in Qld to be of much use to most people.
The Victorian club rego looks ace though. Pity you can't have a programmable ecu....

Re: club regostration
It's a pretty good system - large amount of useage with no restrictions for minimal outlay.
The liability on the club if they sign off on the vehicle isn't ideal and not really practical for a volunteer bases organization. There is a bit of work involved at the clubs end even with the owner having to get a RWC.

Re: club regostration
Just for reference the Mazda Club of Australia doesn't need a RWC but you will need to get the car signed off by their officials

Re: club regostration
Interesting. Do you know if its people within the club who sogn off the cars or an outside source (ie workshop) appointed by the club who does the sign off?

Have been looking at it recently for a non-MX5.
MCCA CPS info: http://mazdacarclub.org.au/?page_id=42
However, clubs which don't have the in-house expertise of MCCA often require a VASS certificate in addition to RWC, as under the new Vicroads RWC VSI, RWC may be granted as long as mods appear safe without VASS certificate having been viewed by the RWC provider. Some clubs even require proof of previous Victorian registration in the current configuration of the viehicle.
