Cool, I get back from holiday on the 10th, just in time.

Might have to make this my first club run.

Having just joined the Vic MX-5 club id be keen to show off the car. Ill probably head in to federation square aswell to have a look at the display. If any of you are there ill introduce myself.

there will be a bucket load of mx5's going down the most overhyped and policed piece of road down south. The traffic might be a little less early on but the speed limit and there are plenty works out the same. Some love it some dont....

I can't wait!
I think the GOR is still the perfect MX-5 road, the beauty of the car and the road is that you don't have to drive at 10 tenths to still have fun, as long as you don't get stuck behind traffic (the beauty of an EMR) you'll have a blast. The sheer sight of almost 100 MX-5 is enough to make it an amazing day regardless of anything else.
If you're keen on going for a bit of a blast either keep going through the forest section of the GOR or go up the Skenes Creek road which have higher speed limits and some quite challenging sections.

I hear what you are saying but this is an extremely well organised club run that has always run like clockwork. Crumbs, even I try to attend most years.
As mentioned before, it is indeed an awesome sight to see so many MX5's on one bit of awesome road.
You should really think about coming. It is indeed an experience not to be missed.

Thanks guys.

Chris and I drive some of the best 'unknown' roads on the weekends solo (incl. GOR 4.30am), just us, early mornng, one car - so if you want to be thrilled by the drive itself then this is not perhaps the run to go on .. nor possibly any organised event for that matter.

But that aint why we arrange this annual run ..

.. if you want to be a part of an event in which a whole heap of like minded people get together, so of whom rarely go to organised runs, and drive a great road without all the costly frills & add ons that go on sometimes, then this run is for you!

See you there! Joni & Chris

Totally agree
If you want to go for a drive and challenge yourself and your car, don't go on a social run.
Organise a run with some "like minded" friends or by yourself.
About the only place you can really push our cars to anything like their limit is on a race track which is a damn site safer for all the road users concerned.
Social runs are exactly that, SOCIAL
Kick back, enjoy the experience and share it with like minded people.

At your age I would have thought that birthdays were something that you would not want to think about. 8)
We hope to be able to attend this run and are making every effort to get there.
Greg.
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?
