You should be fine, its a "spirited" run on some tight twisty roads, but just take it at your own pace and you'll have a ball.
It will be the Reynolds road car park, ( the Blackburn road one doesn't open until about 8 am)

Absolutely amazing day for me Bob
As a first day out with the club it was awesome.
Spectacular early morning light , mist and scenery on the way across the Yarra Valley , unbelievable roads to drive ( and boy can you guys drive
)
The run home with Al was even better
Thanks for the amazing morning out and the warm welcome , Janette , John and others
BTW db , hope that wasn't you in the Grace Green I was holding up on the way to Kinglake
Me and the mex are still getting acquainted. It's a lot more capable than I am

Nope, not me, my 5 is Crystal Blue
I don't think anyone would mind how slow you travelled.

after arriving home from the club sprint event at calder on saturday night, i unloaded the car and emptied my jerry can of fuel into the tank, all ready for the run on sunday morning. it was well after midnight tho, and it had been a loooooong day.
when my alarm clock chirped at me in the morning, i turned it off and promptly rolled over and went back to sleep!
sounds like you guys had fun, maybe i'll see you at the next one.

I only had a chance to turn up to the start point (family duty all day).
A very friendly bunch and a treat to see 3 crystal blue babies side by side.

land864, as I said when we met before the run, now that you have a MX-5 you will try to avoid parking your car next to 4WD or any big tall vehicle for that matter if you don't want to get an ugly door dint.
My friend who drove the Merc SLD 200, his cousin with a modified Holden and myself were the last to leave after you guys left for 30 minutes. There were not a single car or bike coming from the opposite direction right up to the Cumberland junction! What a blast but I had to slow down frequently to wait for my friends. He kept asking "how did you manage those curves at the speed you were doing?". I told him he had a few things working against him. Despite his supercharged Merc having almost the same HP as my SE, his car weighs 1.7 tons v ours at around 1 ton, it has a sluice box despite the fanciful whatya call it the tiptronic paddle shift, it has traction control(not sure if he could override that), its weight distribution, etc, etc.
I used to do that stretch of road a few times a year before the club made it into a regular run, before an 80kph speed limit was imposed, and before the boys in blue became a regular feature. I do know the best time to do that run with very light traffic on the road, etc. Hint - it's during the day, but it's not first thing in the morning.
