Great idea for an event, i'm sure it will be appreciated.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Agreed, a great opportunity to go spend some cash where it's needed. Bummer it's the Queens Birthday weekend. Taking the kids away. Never seem to catch a break.

Anyway have a great day and spend up big.
Cheers

Thanks Nick,

Where about is this Research Shopping Centre! - Suburb / Street would be a great help.

Might actually wash the car to get the last 3 months of grime off. It's looking more titanium than ebony atm!

Thanks

Janette does the vic club always stick to an MX-5s only policy? We have several club members who don't own MX-5s and I hope they're welcome to attend your club runs too.

PB, I google mapped Research. It's a north of Melbourne near Eltham. I'm assuming there is a shopping center there. And i agree, i may just have to wash my car too! Looking forward to this one 8)

I'll try and drag myself out of bed for this one, its only a few mins down the road.

Research shops is just off Main road after the Warandyte turn off, so if you come through Eltham you can't miss it.

PB and ben if you want to wash the car on the way there is car wash on Main road about half a k for the shops.

Cheers

Damo

Alrighty! Blond moment. Didn't realise 'Research' was a Melbourne suburb!

Janette: Thanks for info. Ex NSW Club Member, so very aware of club rules. Unfortunately new priorities have meant I've been MIA from the club for 3 years. Will definitely be in the MX5 that day.

Bensale: Be good to catch up after your shameless plugs when I was trying to move the left over odds and ends of my NB8B

Damo: Thanks for tip on car wash however I think it's about time it got the full service!

As a side note to anyone coming and not wanting to hi-jack the thread:

Close friends and neighbours of mine run Buxton Trout and Salmon Farm - obviously at Buxton (a bit further out from Yea). It's a family run business which allows people to 'catch their own' trout and salmon on the property. It's quite a great afternoon out and definitely a great place for the kids.

They experienced a lot of stock loss during the recent fires which tore through their property ( near 40t of fish from memory) and are still troubled with water quality flowing through the region. As most people in the area - they are slowly rebuilding this local business.

If anyone is feeling like Fish for dinner on Sunday night - I highly recommend the run through the Black Spur out to Buxton after the official run of the day is complete. You wont be guaranteed a fresher catch (seeing you'll be required to 'knock' your own fish out) and the prices are a LOT better than the local markets!

Mitch (owner) has been extremely active in promoting his 'Extra Smokey Smoked Salmon' since the fires and it is definitely an awesome bite!

A great run today and a great turn out of over thirty cars for such an inclement day. A reminder that the people in these areas have an on going battle to restore their lives and a whole list of new challenges now that the weather is turning. Thanks to those that organized the day and every one that turned up. 8)

I also would like to thank everyone for making it sucha great day, the weather did not have any effect on the day what so ever. It was great to meet some new faces, but most importantly to pay our respects to those who suffered the tragedy of black saturday, some horrific scenery at times but it's good to see it starting to rejuvinate!

So, those who took pics... Let there be upload
