EOI Great Alpine Road Run - Sunday March 22nd 2009

I want to do a run down The Great Alphine Road and also take the side trip route while up there for the Buchan Road.
I would say a 6am start would be required because some of us would end up doing between 600-750km that day. It is pretty far from the CBD so we will cover alot of areas if we leave early. May even swing by Metung etc too.
Here is an over view of the road.
http://www.visitvictoria.com/displayobj ... F4D46ADB8/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Alpine_RoadI have never done this road before but I have done the Buchan Road which was great! The valleys, forests and mountains were fantastic and no other car's on the road which was great.
I would estimate if we meet at 6:30am for a 7am departure, we would be back in the CBD by 5/6pm the latest. Meet at Harvey Norman Fountain Gate.
Please let me know if you are keen to do this!
Everyone!!!!!! is welcome, i don't know much people on the fourm but would like to do it with other mx5's as all my runs are usualy with other types of cars
new members on the fourm, existing members, members for intertate all WELOCMEEEEEEEEE and meanMX even that you don't have a 5 anymore your welcome tooo EVERYONE

Pity you guys couldn't do it the saturday of the 7th March.
It would have been great to catch up with you all.
The MX5 Club of NSW has an official run in the region that weekend - Targa d' Alpine. I believe last count, there are about 14 cars (23 people) doing the trip down.
See
Thread for info.
We're staying @ Albury Saturday night then tackling the Alpine roads in the Victorian and NSW ski fields first thing on Sunday.

I've done that road a few times now. It rates as one of my all time favourites. Especially the bit from Omeo to the coast that follows the river. Kuntry Kuzzin in his NC and I had an awesome dice along there last year. We managed to blow the two German GTI cars we were with into the weeds.
Wish I could join you.
