28 February 2009 - Great Ocean Road - postponed

Due to continuing high risk of fires in Victoria, including the Great Ocean Road area the Mazda MX-5 Club of Victoria Inc has made a decision to postpone this event to a future date.

The new date will be posted once the fire risk is reduced and a date is available.

I will be at the starting point to inform anyone that didn't RSVP and turns up. If you know of anyone that was planning on attending please pass this message on.

Ok, so far I have had 3 people contact me to indicate they are coming on the run. Just so I don't feel too unloved, can everyone that is planning to come please let me know. You don't have to join us for dinner if you don't want to and if you can't make it at the last minute no problem, I would just like a better idea of numbers.

Oh, there is a good chance we won't have dinner at the Apollo Bay hotel. We have a couple of alternate places (read better) in mind now that I have done a scouting run down there.

Oh, and if you are not participating because you don't want to drive home late in the day after the long drive down and a meal, please provide the feedback and I will ensure I don't arrange that type of run again.

a few of us will be in geelong at approx 1pm or so due to a dyno run pete has organised. Any way for us to meet up with you guys?

We will be coming through Geelong at around 2.45pm, give or take a few min. I will check with Peter as to the best place to meet and post back here.

I would be interested in a GOR run after the dyno run.

Anyone interested in a Wunton run / Fish and Chip Run after the dyno / GOR run?

I might come as long as an ex mx5 driver is welcome. Will probably be down the bottom end of the pack though as I don't think my tyres will be up to the strain. Will probably be at the dyno day first though
