This December 16th the Mazda Car club of Australia is running a huge day of festivities, starting with our annual charity toy run. We will then proceed to the Drag Tag complex, which has been exclusively booked for the day by the club.

The day starts with the pre meet for the toy run. Each year the MCCA in conjunction with Ausrotary runs a charity toy run to the Smith Family warehouse, where we each donate a toy to the help make Christmas a happy time for disadvantaged children. Many of you were at the toy run last year, and will remember just how grateful the Smith Family was for your donation. Zoran has put a great effort into organizing this event year after year, and we are hoping for it to be bigger and better than ever.

here are some pics from last year lets make this one even bigger & better

Once we have delivered the toys, we will then proceed to the Drag Tag complex for lunch, driving and social events.

Two driving events will be conducted on the drag tag skid pan (Helmet supplied, or bring your own):
- Motorkhana, consisting of various timed courses through and around witches hats. Test your skill against the stopwatch, just have fun, or go for the club trophy! The perfect introduction to motor sport that's not too taxing on driver or vehicle, but a lot of fun!

- Judged freestyle competition. 5 minutes on the skid pan to do whatever you like! Impress the judges and take home a $75 gift voucher plus trophy. Drift, burnout, donuts, this is your chance to get out and do whatever you like, legally.

There will also be a show and shine competition with another $75 gift voucher up for grabs, as well as a BBQ lunch and plenty of room to show your cars and socialise.

Cost for the skid pan:

For non MCCA members!!
we have a great deal. You can join the MCCA on the day for the usual $60, and drive for free! You still get yourself one full year membership and a CAMS license. This is a great opportunity to get involved and score a free event on your first day in the club. What a deal! Even if you just wanted to drive for the day that's cheap motor sport.

If you are already a member of another CAMS affiliated club, but still want to drive the fee is $40.

BBQ and social entry only is $5 just to cover food costs, club members eat free.

Also remember you don't need to have a Mazda to be a part of the action, we have many members who take part in the club activities in various makes of car. There are a few committee members that have never even shown up in a Mazda, so don't be shy to bring out the daily driver.

Charity, food, cars, friends and cutting sick on a skid pan. Merry Christmas from the Mazda Car Club of Australia everyone.

Last time I went to an Mccr cruise, about 10 cars were having a burnout comp on the street. The Mccr members, and everyone else were there chearing them on. Then 3 cop cars came, and half the people took off.

That was the last time I ever goto a Mccr cruise, even if its for a good cause. Too man douche bags. :?

i think u will find a lot of things have changed since then, but if you would like to live your life from past experience thats cool.

in saying that i dont think that more then 2 people are still in the club from then & the two guys that are would not appreciate any such thing, for that matter either would any other member now, which is why we have events such as these.
