I know there's a couple of tassie people hiding on here and I know it's a little early but anyone going to TassieNats next year?
I'm gonna enter the Show and Shine and Decibell comps and was wondering if anyone else was going to enter or if anyone from interstae was going to the event?

ERRR! Do you mean the biannual \"not the Natmeet\" hosted by the Vic and Tassie members if you do, next year we are all going to New Zealand in Feb so I don't recon we will organise a Meet for Easter 07....but don't let that stop you from coming down anytime... and I will let you know if we organise anything. We don't have a show and shine event just lots of driving and visiting local touristy areas. If we do an Easter07 I think we might base it around Ulverstone and local run each day to keep costs down, you are welcome though to do your own thing. I'm not hiding down here, I just don't want too many people to realise what a fantastic place it is .... Shhhh :P

my mistake sharyl, but I thought you meant real driving  I recon the 5 would drag well, but when I was learning to drive spinning the rear wheels was considered a sign of bad clutch control......the offer of help is always open when you visit our driving paradise

No, no nooo not entering the drags, way to scared of getting my butt kicked  I'd probably consider the burnout comp if I can scam some tyres from somewhere
I'll just have the mx there to make the event more classy :P

If you prefer \"real driving\" there's a huge cruise happening in January, it's a charity thing \"The Olds\" are holding for suicide awareness. Go to nissansilvia.com if ya want details :)

A little off topic but my wife and i are looking to buy in Tassie, although we haven't been there it sure does look fantastic :)
(also nice cool air good for turbo) combine this with some nice roads....

whats the area ELLENDALE like as we are looking at a house on the Internet in that location :) is it far from Hobart and are the roads good or more your 4WD country?

any non biased help would be appreciated.

Sorry I'm in the north of the state, Ellendale is about an hour from Hobart and you have the option to get there of driving on back sealed roads or the highway if you are in a hurry, best discribed as hilly farmland and old hop farming area close to a national park. A lovelly spot but to us locals who wants to travel a whole hour to get home  best idea jump on the ferry Friday night, your here at 7.30 on Satuday, Hobart by 10.30, Ellendale 11.15 then overnight Hobart Saturday all day Sunday in the Hobart area to scout out other properties? leave yourself 3hrs to get back to Devonport on the \"Spirit\" Sunday night, arrive Melbourne 7.30 to fight the traffic to work Monday .... Easy and goodluck

Yeah turbo cars love it here!
I've never even heard of Ellendale so you'll have to take Tassie Devils word for it!

sharyl.. Ellendale is between Westerway and the Dunrobbie bridge. If you havn't done the trip do it as soon as you can, you'll love it. Step off from New Norfolk up the B62, morning tea at the Salmon Ponds, then head to Westerway and the C608 to Ellendale then continue across the Derwent and back into Hobart on the northernside of the river. By the way it is a Targa stage, its probably best done in autum with all the coloured leaves blowing everwhere etc. come to think of it let me know and I'll come with you....
