Soooo. I woke up this morning and my car wont unlock. When I press the button on the remote the light in the remote flashes but it doesnt unlock.................. had to cab it to work this morning coz I cant get in my car. And im scared if I use the key the alarm might go off or the immobilizer will kick in or something.

HELP ANYONE?!

Changing the battery in your remote is the most obvious and cheapest thing to check. Just because the light flashes on the remote doesn't mean there's enough power to transmit a strong enough signal to the car's receiver.

Most alarms should have a way for them to be started with a flat battery. Maybe a key slot on top of the siren to disable the alarm, secret button to push or even a small port to put the remote like my old one. Otherwise it does sound like a flat battery and should be a simple fix. Couldn't hurt to chase down a spare as well. Good luck.

Aiight. So I did some research and turns out with a special combination I accidentally put it into valet mode. Which is like I dunno. Different. So I just have to unplug the battery from my car and plug it back in n it shuld be okay.
I changed the battery in the remote but it still didnt work sometimes. If that fails ill just burn the car n buy a new one :D

I don't recommending burning it, but if you do, I like fire, I'll bring marshmallows?

Willy is great but parking can be difficult. Just a heads up.

I won't be around for 2 weeks (everyone give a silent cheer...yaaaay) as I have to *cough cough* work.

and finally,

Rodders is hospital. Poor guy can't crack a break.
So if you have his number, shoot him a message, or PM him your best wishes.
That would be awesome if you could all do that.

I saw John in his 86 on my way home. He looked so smart in his suit that I didn't recognise him for a second!!
