This is the lamest excuse that I have ever heard, stuff the family that will fit (you know, the thrill seekers) into the boot, get a taxi (they have little buses now!) for the rest of them and get to the airport and remember this time next year there will be another Birthday and you will be older, more cranky and your family will not give a rip, Suck it up Sister, OH! and HAPPY BIRTHDAY. :)
Greg.
Rod, We are cropping (Hay, and I am red raw) ATM but one night of rest may just fall on Thursday. Greg.
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

I'm with meanmx on this one. I may also have to miss the night that happens depending on when I finish work. It would be an extra 50k's on what is already a 120km round trip. So anyone on ideas on what will most likely end up being Embassy?

Coming into summer and warmer nights I would also like to make a suggestion of maybe Sky heights one week? A bit of a drive for everyone, including myself, but the view is worth it and the drive up and down the mountains (mx5 home turf) isn't too bad either. It is no hill climb, extreme difficulty, rally based drive, just a casual twisty road with a safe speed limit. Saying all this I have never actually gone into the Sky Heights restaurant, so I have no idea on price, quality, or if bookings are necessary, If anyone does know by all means step in and let me/us know.

Yea that's ok, i was only teasing you Cookie :P

As for Sky high, when you organize it just let me know what the dates are as i work on most weekends due to the nature of work i do.

also don't organize it for the stereosonic event weekend. I'm working that weekend also...

In years past we have done Skyhigh on a Thursday night and I see no reason not to this year. It's generally in the early part of the year as you can guarantee the weather a little bit better. Sorry about the airport being further away. You win some and lose some, but we all appreciate the effort you make on a weekly basis.

Thursday 28 November

Summary
Min 19
Max 28
Morning shower then rain.

Melbourne area

Cloudy. Isolated showers, increasing to areas of rain during the afternoon. Winds northwest to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h tending west to northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h during the morning then turning south to southwesterly 20 to 30 km/h during the afternoon.
Keep an eye on the weather as at this stage, both the airport and Sky High are probably not good options.
