Amanda that is so harsh, argh I couldn't go back to working weekends :(

I think the 28th is more or less a definite now. There's a lot of club events on early next year, esp. February.

lol @ fig  I think we might have reached our blue car quota! Still plenty of room for red cars though! But yep, it's December 28th, 7am, at the Waurn Ponds Bunnings (not the one on the Melbourne road to the north! ).

Why are you out KIJIMA??? :(

8) Has the black car quota been filled?
I'll be in this, for sure.
The GOR is in excellent condition at the moment.
Have been doing early sunday morning runs on the gixxer for a while now and the road surface is fantastic.
Not to hijack anything but when all the lads on bikes catch up for a ride, we meet at the BP across from Deakin Uni (next to the Waurn-Ponds Motel). High octane fuel is available there (essential for bikes) and the food they serve is awesome. Where else can you get a deep fried hamburger in batter??
Ok, ok. I have an ulterior motive. I am suffering deep fried hamburger in batter withdrawal symptoms.

SERIOUS SUGGESTION
There is an alternative (read exciting) route to Lorne that has stuff all holiday traffic and some serious curves/bends (with stuff all run-off  ). From Geelong - Moriac - past Wurdiboluc reservoir - turn left to Bambra - stop at deans marsh for a smoke - through Benwerrin (watch out for the guy in a blue uniform and hair dryer on the looooooong straight beforehand  ) and then you are in curve city.

Just a suggestion......
In any case, it will be ace to meet all of you.
BTW I'm in hoppers and have a pool and a spa.........
In a very delightful shade of algae green
Bring a wetsuit and breathing apparatus
(Believe me, on hot days like this, I curse my laziness)

We probably will go down through Moriac. It's a better run.

It's a good suggestion to meet at the BP but might still meet in the original spot or too many people will get confused.

The bike sounds like fun. Be great to have you along. You can show us how it's done.

Good route but cops everywhere at this time of the year, just past the reservoir and on the straight after the turn towards Bambra, so it will be caution, caution.

I am going on the run but I think I will keep going to Port Campbell for breaky if the traffic is right. Too good a run to spoil with a hour off in Apollo Bay if there isn't much traffic.

I will then go inland through Simpson and Carlisle River over to Gellibrand before deciding whether to come home through Colac, Forrest, Deans Marsh or go back to Lavers Hill and back via the GOR.

It should be a great run with plenty of options to suit everyone's taste.Looking forward to catching up.

Peter.
