Chops, where are you located?
I don't purport to know much, except that I live in the Blue Mountains and am keen to see a local chapter. Or you could contact the club president, "Guran" is a regular on the forum.
We have three MX5's so that's a start !
cheers
Chris

Hey Cameron & Chris, it's not a rumour!
The new RPM Chapter (Rivers, Plains & Mountains) is going to have it's first meeting in January. The Club has 27 members in the "Rivers" (west of M7 to Penrith, north to Wisemans Ferry & Colo Heights), 20 members in the "Mountains" (west of Nepean River to Lithgow), and 10 in "Plains" (Bathurst, Dubbo, Mudgee). The launch of RPM and Illawarra Chapters is creating a few headaches in terms of scheduling events, but I'm sure it'll work out much better for all. Lesa Bunn has put up her hand to serve as the RPM Convenor in order to get things started. For further information contact Lesa at
socialsec@mx5.com.au.

I'm not a member of the MX5 Club as yet but will be joining soon as I get around to it so I'd be interested in this as well.

Cool. I live at Mt Riverview, I have an NA6 which I am progressively "doing up" and an NC2. My partner has a Eunos Roadster so we are being called the "MX5 family".

For the benefit of club members who may have missed the group email, and for those in the region who might be interested to "try before you join", here is the announcement:
Mazda MX-5 Club of NSW wrote:WELCOME TO THE RPM - Rivers Plains Mountains CHAPTER
CONVENERS BBQ – 13TH JANUARY 2013 LAKE LYELL, LITHGOW – 11.30amThe Mazda MX-5 Club of NSW currently has three regional Chapters - Canberra, Hunter and the recently formed Illawarra. These vibrant regional chapters provide improved access to locally based club events for members unable to attend events held in the wider area.
The time has come to spread that vibrancy with the introduction of the RPM chapter. The aim of the RPM Chapter is provide further access to MX-5 Club events for all members and encourage new members by way of a specific focus on events within the regional areas of Wollondilly, Penrith, Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains, Lithgow and the Western Plains areas. The Rivers, Plains and Mountains chapter will aim to seek participation by members located across these areas that may currently be isolated by distance from regularly attending events held within other Chapter areas.
The RPM Chapter will hold dinner meetings and cruiser runs every month, weekends away and opportunities to join other Chapters throughout the year as well as participate in Xmas in July, Presidents Picnic and Concours Event. The Chapter will seek participation from members in planning events to keep us all zooming for 2013 and beyond.
Events already on the Calendar are: February run to Jenolan Caves, March run to Yerrinbool, Xmas in July – RPM to host.
