Just reviewing the concourse day.
Nice and Sunny all day and warm, the rain held out even though clouds seemed to be passing by.
Decent turnout about 60-80 from what I could tell.
And some nice old cars around.
And now to my grumpy

Can anyone explain why I got a 0 out of 10 for non standards rims when I was in modifed NB class.
I would understand why if I entered in standard class, but it made absolutley no sense why I get 0 when I am in modifed.
Reading the rules again just now it says these 2 things which relate to wheels and tyres.
Section 1. ORIGINALITY. If vehicle is entered as “standard” points will be deducted for significant
non-factory items.
Section 7. UNDERSIDE and WHEELS. The judges will check under wheel arches and visible
suspension items. Fresh grass is ignored; caked-on mud is not! Finish on wheels,
condition of wheel rim, tyre condition, and match, will all be considered.
I pass section 1 as my car is modidied and entered in modifed class. All SE's and SP's are now are considered modified regardless now.(Sorry that was my fault last year for being the only SE:)) Reading that I can put what ever parts I want on it and not get marked down for non-original parts.
And section 7 only talks about condition of the rims and tyres. No where does it say anything about type/brand of rims.
I have done ~1500km's on my new rims and tyres so they are virtually new. Not a single scratch or chip on them. So I feel ripped off to get a 0 when they should really be a 10. Not to mention tyre condition is supposed to be included in the points so did I get 0 for new tyres as well?
I would have put my scratched, pitted and burnt OEM SE rims with near bald achilles tyres on if I knew this would happen. At least they would have got 4-5 out of 10 for still being round.
Did any one else out there get a 0 for non standard wheels and tyres in the modified class?
