Damnit. I want to get involved with NSW Motorkhana -
http://motorkhana.com/which requires a L2NS license, so I was just gonna get a L2S so I don't need a Wakefield pass - but it sounds as if a L2NS + Wakefield pass is the way to go?

For Wakefield you will need a CAMS L2S licence. L2NS (non speed) only covers drifting, motorkhanas and other low speed events. L2S covers all L2NS items plus speed events.
22nd is work Christmas party, so I guess that counts me out

I know, I was going to get a
L2S license, would that cover this speed off the streets day?

If you have an L2S licence you will not need a Wakefield Park licence (nor an L2NS for motorkhanas).
You'll also need a helmet and long-sleeved nonflammable clothing (jeans, cotton long t-shirt). Narrow and thin-soled shoes are recommended. Check your fluids (oil, brakes) and brake pad thickness. Fill up before you get there. You can adjust tyre pressures at the track (40psi hot is max on normal tyres), but take a pressure gauge.
Cost is $110 I think. And yes it is worth it!
