MX-5 Club of NSW Dyno Day - 29 August 2009
MX-5 Club of NSW Dyno Day
It’s been three years since the Club had its last Dyno Day and you are bound to have done some engine mods or bought a new(er) MX-5 and now want to find out how much power the little beast is putting out.
Well now’s your chance to see if your standard or modified MX-5 is putting out more power than your mates at MX5 Mania.
These are great fun days. Mania will have a large screen outside their workshop with the dyno runs on it for all of the spectators to see, while enjoying a tasty BBQ.
Last time the magic “T” piece was tried in a few SPs vying for the glory and bragging rights of having the biggest rwkW. What will happen this year?
When: 29th August 2009
Where: MX5 Mania. Unit 2, 8A Kookaburra Rd., Hornsby Heights
Details: We can run 4 cars per hour, so pick your preferred time from those listed below. We will confirm your start time just encase your preferred time slot is full. We may even head off along the Old Pac for a run after we have finished the dyno testing.
Preferred Time: 9:00 – 10:00 or 10:00 – 11:00 or 11:00 – 12:00 or 12:00 – 1:00 or later.
Cost: $50 for three power runs and a print out. Pay on the day.
Book-in: by e-mail to socialsec@mx5.com.au with the following information:
• Your name, membership number and e-mail address.
• Your preferred book-in time.
• The model of your car, NA6A, NA8A, NB8A, NB8B, NC, etc
• If your car engine is stock, modified or turboed.
RSVP required by 21 August 2009.
Not a member of the Club? Sorry you need to be a member to have a run.

Huh, no bragging rights for you. We all know that NCs are more powerful than pussy little SEs
STM, gives you plenty of time then to arrange to have that day off.

STM, all enquires should go through the Club, however if we have 20 cars that will take 5 hours.
Starting at 9:00am we'd be finished by 2:00pm so there probably won't be anyone around at 4.
Tell work you need the day off and to schedule you on another Saturday.

I need to know what KWs my Clubman spits out now at the rear wheel after having done 87k kms. I'm sure a few horses have escaped since new.

Don't forget the dyno day, get your entries in.
I can smell the rubber and the BBQ now , not to mention all the BS stories that will fly around.
