Targa Floriade

The Club is having it’s now famous Targa Floriade long weekend away to Canberra.
We leave on Saturday 29th September for two nights in the Nations Capital where we will be escorted by the Canberra Chapter over some of their best MX-5 roads.
You will also have time to view the Floriade exhibition and many other grand places of interest.

Details will be up shortly on the Club site.

We only have 15 rooms reserved with bookings required before 8th September by the Club Social Secretary, so keep an eye out or you may miss out.

Thanks to Ray/Pam and Peter /Kim for the effort in putting this great run together. Windy conditions failed to faze the enthusiasm for the drive down the backroads from Pheasants Nest to Canberra - or the great dinner at the Red Hill cafe organised by the Canberra Chapter - or the great run through their backyard arranged by them for the Sunday  . As for the Floriade, the wind and the crowds took care of that  But the company of the members more than made up for it 8)
This is defininitely an annual event that should not be missed. Thanks again guys, the time and effort you put into the organisation is realy appreciated.

Had a great weekend. Thanks to all the organisers!
Loved the run up to Honeysuckle Creek. Great road. The auto/manual managed it just fine! You will note who was right up there at the front!

The steering wheel paddles were just great. Used them to slow down for the corners, didn't even have to waste time putting my foot on the clutch & changing gear! Just kept my foot on the accelerator, & used my thumbs for down and little fingers for up again to accelerate out of the corners! Perfect! You should try it sometime!!!! Handles beautifully on the corners, just hugged the road.
