NSW Club President's BBQ

NSW Club members.



Don't forget the Presidents BBQ is on Sunday 21st January at Bobbin Head.
Start time is 11.30am.


We are supplying all the food.
All you need to bring is your appetite and something to drink (a good white /red or both plus a glass) and your sense of fun.

Yeap, you got it in one. Very hot. But heaps of nice food and a big turnout even with the high temps.

It was good, except for the fact coming down to bobbin head my car was trying to idle at 3500rpm.....didnt need to accellerate out of corners, but it did make braking difficult....that and when I got home I managed to boil my coolent....left it do idle in the shade for a few minutes and it brought it under control

Yeah, thanks to the cooks and organisers :D hope the venue is still there though, fires heading that way ATM :frown:

Great day and even better at Hornsby RSL afterwards in the air con with a few cold beers with friends! 8)

Heard on the radio that Bobbin Head was actually evacuated later on too! :shock:

Thanks to the committee for organising a very nice day.
Wasn't too bad in the shade.
Glad I left when I did though.
Those fires looked really nasty.

And don't forget ROUND TWO of the BBQ season, this Sunday for the Hunter Chapter's Convenor's BBQ somewhere up Maitland way....

I'm sure that Sean will provide the additional details, I know I have it written down SOMEWHERE!

Ahh the blessings of email.... from the December '06 Publication email....

Hunter Chapter Convenor’s BBQ
Traditional first of summer event with an opportunity for new and older members to gather in a relaxed atmosphere to welcome the new Chapter into 2007.

When: 11.30am

Where: Finnan Park at Lakeside (the park is on the side of Grahamstown Dam), lots of parking, shaded areas, tables and chairs, amenities block as well as BBQ facilities. Join our President Jean Cook, other committee members and Hunter Chapter Convenor Sean Thompson. Please bring your own meat and drinks. The Club will supply breads/salads etc. Regalia will be on sale.

Just thought the folks who were at the BBQ might be interested....That shelter we were using got quite (rather) singed with the bushfires. The fires only started about 2hrs after we all left...
