This weekend in Sydney! Hurry while spots last!

Postby maxwolfie » Wed Apr 05, 2006 11:50 am

Now that I have your attention

I'm itching for a decent drive as I missed the last old pac run!! (Was sick). Nothing planned for this weekend yet so can be changed to Saturday.. Or if we *HAVE* to, next weekend

So.. Here's some ideas - Hopefully regardless it will involve a decent drive with some good food!

Meet up at one of the McDonalds along King Georges Rd -> National Park run, Princes Hwy -> back up Acacia Rd -> King Georges Rd - Apparently there is a good fish n chips place on King Georges Rd on the left hand side (northbound) just after Tom Ugly's bridge

or

Up Bells Line of Rd for a BBQ! (I like this idea as I've never been up BLoR!) - BBQ's are always good anyways!

To quote old pete:

A drive out to Windsor is always good. You can see our $millions being spent on the widening of Windsor Rd.
At Windsor on George St just near Bridge St is Windsor Sea Foods.
They are ALWAYS busy and the food is delicious. You can enjoy your purchase in the park across the road near the Macquarie Arms pub or go down to the picnic area near the river.
Then you can head off up the Putty Rd or use Bells Line of Road up through Kurrajong to Bilpin to buy some apples or head out through Yarramundi, do the Hawkesbury lookout climb and then on to Springwood.
All Good!
Old Pete

or

A night run into Watermooloo to get pie floaters from Harry's Cafe De Wheels

or

Putty Rd with a pie stop

or

Another pac run (though we just had one..)

Hands? Ideas? Suggestions?

You could scrap Watermooloo because it doesn't exist...
Woolloomooloo could be done though. But driving into the city on a Saturday night would be a shytefight.

Yeah... you know what I mean

I'm leaning towards the Bells Line of Rd/BBQ or the natio park run

If you like the Pies at Harry's Cafe de Wheels, you can also buy them direct from the factory that makes them for him in Harris St Ultimo.
They open really early every morning, so you can get your fill on the way to work.
They are on the corner of Harris and Macarthur, which is next to the Powerhouse Museum.

I'm off to Natmeet on Tuesday, and by the time that's over, I'm sure I'll be a bit sick of driving the 5, so I'll keep my enthusiasm for Natmeet.

Yeah, but that also means no late nights either! :P
