Hear hear

Excellent work Gavin, and you're obviously partial to your food.

As someone who gets paid to take the photos (and  didn't do a very good job here), i saw money all over your work.

If you don't want to be paid for your passion (a good piece of advice which i (perhaps sadly) disregarded), just think more bling for your 5.

Your food shots are excellent, and they were taken in not ideal conditions too. Grab youself some foam core and some foil for some specular highlights and you're off to the magazines for the dream shoot - the kind where you get to eat the talent when you're done!

 :P

Did this triip probably 7 odd years ago when Garry organised a similar event. Fantastic drive... even if Garry did kill a couple of birds.

Just saw from Ten news just now....

...it snowed at Perisher and surrounding areas today. It looks like a substantial amount too. More than likely this means some road closures are already in placed.

Thank you so much for the kind words guys. It's that kind of encouragement that keeps me inspired. Dipping my toes into a little part time commercial work would be cool thing to do from time to time :) , but yea, just reading the praiseful feedback is fantastic!

Sadly I won't be able to make it to the Sasso run this weekend, so I won't be able to drop off my photos. There'll be next year. BadBong, if you like, you can PM me a postal address; I'd be happy to post you my work for collation.

Aren't we lucky we went when we did....look what the conditions are now on where we were just a little over a week ago (Photos taken today by the Perisher Snow Cam).

Big difference.

Allen's image is off the Perisher snow cam. 8) I grabbed this image off the Hotham Heights snow cam. The road you see in the snow cam image is the Great Alpine Road we drove over 11 days ago in blue sunny skies

When you look at Deen's photo of the chair lift on Hotham Heights it brings a smile to your face. What a difference 11 days can make. Whoever put out offerings to the weather gods before our run should keep up the good work
