but they belong to a different sort of run.

pity i had to love you & leave you all at Kangeroo Valey But i saw a few people taking snaps.

Great Crowd
Great weather
Golden Run.

WOW what a turn out. 8)

We (Mrs CB & Bella, the pooch) didn't expect anything like the turn out we had. Thanks to every one who travelled south for the early start.

At one stage I counted 38 cars at Saddleback Mountain (aka Brokenback Mtn for Garry) and then drove round the corner when leaving to see more cars  :D .

There will be plenty of photos posted I'm sure. The line up at the Blow Hole was impressive and the number of Japanese tourist and everyone else that stopped to look at the cars was great.

I need to give my source of the back road around Berry a kick. The little bit of dirt didn't worry anyone did it?

Those that followed us down the \"fun\" road (Jamberoo Mountain Road) on the return had a great ride. Not a car in front the whole way down. Only one near miss with a car coming up the mountain but Oli can talk about that.

Great to see so many new members on the run. A big welcome to Margret & Frank on just their second run. I hope we didn't go too fast.

Now where's the next run too :?:

Just got in from getting the dust out of the car, now washing the stuff in me down with a nice cold Becks.

Excellent run, even the dirt was a hoot, got a pretty sore left ear though, it was copping a fair hammering from Snoopy, don't think she likes getting sideways at all.

Well done CB, heaps of fun :D

OK here are a few photos. Mrs CB want to buy me some photography tuition to help with my lousy photographic skills.

The line up. MX5s as far as the eye can see. After that they when round the corner.

Image

A couple of shots at Bald Hill. This is the overflow of cars that couldn’t fit in the carpark.

And the Kiama Blow Hole, about 25% of the cars.

Can someone post some better photos?

That was probably the best run I have ever attended :D
Well done CB and Cheryl! Love the Trivia info.
Does anybody remember what type of cows the black and white ones where? (without checking your run sheet!)
As for your mate who assured you there were no dirt sections.... give him a dusty boot up the clacker!

Ahem, Stan - Altezza Club, thankyou very much. :D Yes, for Lexus IS200's (or the Altezza as it's known back in it's homeland).
I saw Miata emblazoned on a few 5's today, we're not the only club with an indentity crisis!
For those who were wondering, that outlandish looking white crate which was wider than it was long is known as a Renault 5 Turbo 2. Homologated Group A rally car from the mid eighties, 2 seats, mid engine, 1.4 litre turbo. Doesn't weight much, so it goes and corners with extraordinary ability.
I digress.. can i just say, having inhabited a variety of car club circles over the last few years, that the MX5 Club, from today's experience, would have to be one of the best clubs to drive with. A pleasure!

A few pics i took:

True, Renault have been into big butts well before the Megane.

As for your paint job? I reckon it looks tough! The car's no show piece, it's dríven, which is what it's for!
Are you going to stay with the red when you go for a respray?
