Rotary your car is nuts! Have you put it on a dyno, blasts off like a rocket and sounds so good.

Only on the Gtech’s dyno, tested after each mod I did, surprisingly punchy for a N/A 1.8L,

Be Nice to chuck it on a dyno if Sydney ever had a dyno day, But I think a Forum WSID Day would be more Fun,
or a maybe a Wakefield day

what other mods have you done sinze the last time i saw u, rotary?

it was pretty quick the last time we were head to head..

Still the same, but its 1st and 2nd gears that really haul, 3rd isn’t geared as well as the 6 speed box’s but the extra torque makes up for it a little.

Gtech says 29.6% increase in Torque @4500rpm and 28.7% increase in Power @6500rpm from when I first got it.

I’m not sure what the standard cars Dyno Power would be exactly? Somewhere around 76kw, if so it would be 97.9kw Now.

At the engine the stock 106kw(if True) and 165Nm becomes 136.5kw and 213.9Nm

not sure exactly but around 130kw wouldn't be that far off, last time at WSID, if I didn't F up when the Track temp dropped it would have done a 14.7-14.8s on a 2.2s 60ft. Stock 140kw Type R’s with LSD, similar weight and 2.0s 60ft do about 14.5-14.6s, (hmm LSD )

We'll see how you go at wakefield, ehehe. Its way more fun, if that's possible.

Wish I had your cars setup looked like you where glued to the road and not even trying, while I was at 90%+ , Thought Garry’s SP was great round the Twisties (though he makes it look effortless too).
Doubt I’ll Do well round Wakefield till I sort the handling and my 0 Track Experience (does WSID Count)

That's what i was thinking round the 1:20s mark, should be happy with that, iv'e practised heel and toe a bit, but need a bit more practise to get comfortable with it, I can already feel the rear twitching on downchange when i don't do it, and thats only at 70-80% braking.
There A Club Track Day on the 26th Oct, I might head out then.

Thats a nice increase, I'd really like to see a dyno plot if you ever get around to it.

The First is done just after i bought the car and put in new Sparks, Filters (air, oil) and Oil.
The Second is after all Mods, listed in my Garage

There is a glitch in the 2nd Graph, this sometimes happens if the gearchange is very rough, but doesn't make any diff to results once it smooths out.

There were a few other variables involved, such as Temp, Humidity, vehicle weight etc. which i wrote down each run, and I used to compare and minimize any inaccuracies, and it would have only been around 1% from memory.
Also use the same stretch of road everytime.

Yeah we can stick the G-tech on at Wakefield if you come down, it can measure all cornering, braking and accel G's in Racer Mode.
I'll give you braking too, untill I get these

It's the Mx5 Club track meeting on Sunday, 26th October, 2008.

Bring the Performance Box and run a couple of laps so I can see the proper way round

I've got some new redline engine oil waiting to go in now that all the oil leaks have been fixed, see if it makes a difference.

Have you got an LSD?

What Grade oil you trying?

No LSD on mine, bad for the track and dragracing.

Be good to test your Brake Biasing Unit with the Gtech, have you put it on yet?

U could try the gtech on marcus' car, mine had the wrong rear pads and cant afford proper ones. I haven't put it on yet no, probably won't till later this year, too busy with uni.
