pie..sounds tasty.
So does the drive... hopefully I'll have my own wheels and not a borrowed set, so I won't feel so bad eating away at the tyres.

Regie, I'm shire based, but it's looking real sketchy for me to make it... If I'm on for the run, I'll only know the night before. If you're going to meet somewhere, keep me posted though!

ah andrew,
haven't you heard the latest...?

(I'm also going to head back over to Bali for a bit, so that will kill some of my savings but we shall see what happens.. as it so happens my birthday is coming up.)

BTW other Alex, seems a little too intrigued to know if \"andy_mx5\" is you. It's been keeping him amused for weeks, seems now the mystery is solved.

So you coming on the run?? Get up nice and early..!
Adventure out, meet new people, enjoy the cold cold frost on your face. :D

for those who have never traveled along putty.

Its a long road. Usually in winter with an early start its bloody freezing. I can't recall if maccas is open at that time of day. There is a petrol station not far from maccas there so fill up before you get there.

From Windsor I'm sure its pretty close to 100km to the half way house. which usually serves as a regroup & catch up stop. By the time we get there there is a good chance the shop will still be closed. Especialy in winter. Coffee there is pretty ordenary in the middle of the day so forget about getting any decent coffee at the Halfway house. So if you need a coffee....pack one in a thermos flask.

about 50 km onwards at the Broke turn off. another regroup.

in broke is another petrol station incase anyone decides to run out of fuel.

Wollombi is another stop. it is possible to get a coffe at the Wolombi Tavern. It not bad for a press button coffe machine. It will still be early so don't expect to much hot food to be available.

then the next regroup/stop would be at Peats Ridge. From then on up to the pie in the sky at the end of the old pac.

after Wolombi expect traffic & police presence to increase especially along the old pac. Be good , Be sensible & most of all have some fun.
