Thanks for the links, fantastic photos Ed.

That's a good writeup for a 16 year old, quite amazing that any team would trust their racecar to someone so young (and doing a back to back stint during the race too) and a endurance race at that.

Looking towards next years race, can any mx5 owner join and do the parade? That would kill two of my birds with one stone of going to a 12 Bathurst and driving on the track itself!

Money is ageless... not to sound too cynical but he is the son of Tim Cindric, and Erebus sports car team operates at a healthy profit for a reason, that drive would have had a couple $100K price tag + damage.

The kid surprised with the pace he had though, can obviously steer.

The parade lap, and static car park display, are organised by car clubs in conjunction with the 12 Hour promoters.
For a couple of years, at least 3, Joe from the MX-5 Club of NSW has organised our group, and it has been open to all club members.

Thanks guys!

I am guessing that his Dad/Penske racing had a hand in the article ...

You know it is a public road - all of it? Probably open Monday, even Sunday evening - they have to let the residents out sometime!
