Had a good run up and back down the Riverside Expressway.
Happy with the outcome and preferred this over hours of waiting in crowds at South Bank, Kangaroo Point Cliffs and Mt Cootha in previous years.
Thanks for the tip JBT
Traffic off at Turbot and around the block was almost non existent. Back down at the 'Gabba was a nightmare and no hope of turning around again.
Think I was lucky with the delay as we got caught in a bit of a traffic jam at Stanley St exit which meant like you that the Super Hornet passed right overhead and we didn't hit the Captain Cook bridge until just after the fireworks actually started.
My photography for the weekend was shocking.
Missed the Friday practice by minutes. Was still crossing Main Street when I took these:
Was in the garden Saturday afternoon when the Super Hornet returned to Amberley
The GoPro experiment didn't really work.
But did capture the Super Hornet overhead. Well the afterburner, at least. With the naked eye you could see the whole fuselage lit up by the city lights.
Luckily Alex is a bit more capable with her iphone
Proof of MX-5
Was amazed at a few people actually pulled up and out of their cars at a couple of spots and pedestrians actually on the Expressway after we rejoined at Herschel/North Quay.
