Dodgy Day 30th January
Howdy y'all, hope yous been a'havin a good start to the new year.
'Bout time again for another infamous Dodgy Day at Magpie's place.
We have someone wanting to install a roll-bar and I would like to replace a pair of rear dampers.
A couple of big track day events coming up, so it's a good opportunity to do a fluids change, oil/coolant/brake.
Even if you don't have anything you want done, just come for the ambience.
Start time 0800-ish. End time 1800-ish.
Send me a PM for address.

Smoked hot and spicy chicken wings again?

Pezchops if you mean simply a plate with two holes for the screws that would be ideal.

Re: Dodgy Day 30th January
i need to machine location spigots one side and c/bores on the opposite side to accept the plastic mount plus mill a centre hole.
i have the plastic original with me but im not sure how much of the pockets/hole are really needed to match the mounting point.
just guessing but if i get it wrong i can mod them later .
i didnt think to look at the mounting point in detail when MAGPIE removed the mirror

Ah gotcha. I have a non genuine mirror that doesn't attach with the plastic bit and clip, so would only need a flat plate to sandwich in between.

Magpie do you have a 90degree air tool?
If not, could someone please bring one? Slug does you-know-who have one amongst his cornucopia of toolage?
Also need a spring compressor. Used Gladiator's last time, I'll PM him.

Re: Dodgy Day 30th January
i can borrow a r/angle die grinder that will hold a 6mm drill ,then use a rotary burr to grind out the hole to whatever size.
be ok if its only sheet metal.
not ok if you need to drill thick plate
maybe a step drill will have a 6mm shank to use in the die grinder?
let me know if you need it.
how tight is the space for drilling?
i can also borrow a pneumatic drill...its not right angle but only about 180mm from the end of the chuck to the back of the grip
