With no takers for this run, I decided to head out on a solo run.
Here is a Google map link of the route I took during the run.
Here are a few pictures taken during the run by my passenger.
Start of Bellthorpe range road. I don't understand what the fuss is about regarding this very short stretch of hill climb. Pretty easy drive with the exception of a sharp 180 degree left turn.
Stop at Mary Cairncross park for a quick pit stop.
Beautiful weather, too good to stay indoors or sleep in (eh Zero00 ).
Bald Knob Road
Stop by Elms cafe along Mount Nebo for lunch.
Dropped into Pine Rivers park for the car show. There were lots of american muscle cars and only a lone MX5.
A Lotus exige (the old model)
A yellow chev camaro.
A nice Commodore with a very expensive stereo system
Spotted Timmeh's lone MX5. - Tastefully modified.
A nice older style Benz with air suspension or hydraulics. Quite impressive.

That merc doesn't have airbags. Its just on shock and spring. There was however another merc there, the white one that is on bags.

I think you may be mistaken there. The ride height changed in the few seconds between those two pictures, and the plates are '4BAGN'.

More drives. Took the MX through the hills of Mount Glorious and stopping over in one of the cafe for breakfast.
After breakfast, the drive continued down Mount Glorious towards Brisbane Valley Highway and then onto Somerset Dam.
NOTE:: The public toilets at the somerset dam resting area have been removed for reasons unknown. There is a toilet block located approximately 500 meter south of the shops.
Finally stopping at Nash Gallery Cafe in Esk for another meal.

Good one Kelvin. I took a run up there too on Saturday. It will be part of the Brisbane Chapter run next month.

Re: Epic drive picture report
Nice pics. Bellthorpe doesn't interest me either. Not enough room to move with speed. Although looks like it's been widened alot since I was last on it. Maleny-Stanley River Rd is the best of the lot, but you didn't drive on the best bits. Bald Knob Rd is a little evil if you have stiff suspension, but it's a fun old skool kinda road.
All of these roads are my back yard. I always do a the Peachester twisties, up Malany-Stanley, down Bald Knob and down Peachester twisties when I have an hour spare or so. The Peachester twisties are 5 minutes from my house.
Then you went out to Kilcoy and Sommerset. Those 2 places bore the bejebus out of me. Dunno why everyone like the drives out there. Boring country roads! Meals looked good though.

Same here but there are some who would like to view it before driving it. For the record, I've done it in both direction numerous times.

Do that section at least once a month. As the above is a common stretch of road, I didn't bother with the footage.

Lucky you. I've to travel up Mount Mee to get to it.

Was out that way today. Starting from Nebo, travelled along Wivenhoe-Somerset and turned towards Esk for a quick visit to a local coffee stop to tie up a few things for a club meet. Then dropped into Fernvale to visit a friend, served with more vegie than my usual monthly intake of greens. Then swung back towards Mount Glorious for return to Samford.
Kilcoy and Somerset is not boring, it is fun, you just have to learn to appreciate it.

You should pencil in August 11 Brisbane club run. Zero00 always organise the best run otherwise try the club run in September 8th. If you can fit both runs into your schedule, then do it otherwise one of the two is sure to compensate for the long drive from GC.
