This is it boys, start your cameras (and engines)!!!

Finally got a weekend off of work, it's a rare thing so hopefully we can organize something!
The dates I am free are the 3rd, 4th and 5th of May.

Location of shoots, time and dates are completely flexible (within those three days above.)

My starting two cents is - New farm park definitely had potential for those who missed out last time, but with most spots we'll probably be going it will be hit and miss if there is adequate parking. I also would love to try and get a 'car park' shoot in an underground/undercover carpark, I believe there is potential for some interesting light setups.

I'm also not fussed if its day or night, maybe we can make it a BYO snacks and drinks and have a picnic while we're at it :D

Anyway, the ball is now rolling - so lets discuss!

 :NA6:

Definitely agree with this, Kanga Pt is high on the list however it'll depend on numbers because parking can be a biatch up there for obvious reasons. If we get a high number of participants, maybe we can sort something out for a smaller group to run up there before or after the main shoot.

 I'm more hoping for a saturday night run, but it'll be a majority vote.

I'll finally get to meet the white na! Have you got any photography equipment? No stress if you don't, a few of us have SLR cameras so they'll be plenty of shots around for you. Hopefully we can work something out as a group to get some lighting this time too!

Working day hours may 3rd, off on the 4th, at Lakeside for Top Gear all day on the 5th. So 3rd night, 4th day/night would be fine for me. Not sure about locations, it's been a while since I did a static car shoot.

Any day is good for me, I have the Friday off - and remember kids, Monday 6th isn't Labour day this year, it's been moved to 7th October.

Sounds good! We have a hut set up at new farm park selling coffee but I'd have to check the trading hours :P

Friday the 3rd of May - Meet up at the Cootha' planetarium carpark around 6:30-7pm?
Sounds like the best bet for the majority of us.

Magpie - any chance you could sneak away that night?

Forshaw - Extended trading hours? :P

If we start at Cootha we can make our way into the CBD/Southbank/KP then head across the Story Bridge to New Farm Park. I might see if there is anything happening at the Brisbane Jazz Club, because their car park would be amazing for a shot with the Bridge in the background. Even if it means taking it in turns to get into position, it should be worth it :D

If anyone thinks of any ideas of locations between now and the start of May, let us know and we can try and work it all in :)

I might make a GoogleMap for people to print out so no one gets lost if we get divided once we know numbers and places.

I've got the shutter bug already!

Fri 3rd May no chance as I will only be flying into Brisbane at about 1700. I should have left my 5 at the airport :(

That's what she said :P

I have made up a rough route-map on Google.

If anyone thinks of anywhere else to go, let us know and I'll add it to the list!

If I get time, I'll suss out the 'Annie St' location (Brisbane Jazz Club) to save us the hassle of getting down there to find out its a terrible place for photos.
