Dodgy Day 16/3/2013

So boys and girls plans are under way for the return of the infamous Dodgy Day!!!
Sir Magpie has kindly offered his premises for the event as it has plenty of room and amenities, and the location is pretty good I reckon. Makes it accessible for both Brisbane and Gold Coast crews, Upper Coomera.
For the uninitiated, Dodgy Day consists of tinkering with cars, partaking of spicy BBQ, and pretending we know what we are doing and what we are talking about.
As a great man once said: "Marge... it takes two people to lie, one to lie and one to listen"
The ratio between mechanical work and BBQ is supposed to be something like 80:20.... but can vary between 50:50 to 5:95 ... hence the term "Dodgy" as there might be no spanners turned at all, and the only grease on your fingers come from the deep frier
These days are a great way to meet newbies, talk to some old farts, install go-fast bits, replace worn-bits, do some spit-shine, and have people point at things on your car and poke fun until you come stand beside them and they say "hey that's pretty cool, haven't seen that done before" then snigger away.
What do I need to bring I hear you ask?
At a minimum: yourself
Whatever you need/want done can be done... or at least attempted before we call a tow truck, so bring tools, jacks, upgrade/replacement parts, polish, wax, paint etcetera.
On a serious note, if you can bring just a smidge of picnic fare, ie. finger food & soft drinks, that would be great. I will arrange for people to bring BBQ wings and/or ribs and dodgy sauce.
Who wants to put their hand up to make and bring the nuclear-powered hot sauce?
So if you would like to attend this illustration... I mean... illustrious event:
Date: Saturday 16th March
Time: 10am to 4pm (early/late arrival/depart is A-OK)
Location: Upper Coomera. Please PM or txt me for exact address.
I'm really looking forward to this and hope many of you can make it and this to become a regular event.
