Whilst this is not technically a motor sport event and is also an add for an event at QR here is a chance to get the partner or friend involved in some on track experience. Details are below.
LADIES DAY
Saturday the 18th of February
Queensland Raceways, Ipswich
"I had a ball" was the overwhelming response from almost 30 ladies who participated in the first ever Ladies Day held at Queensland Raceway on November the 20th 2011.
Women from throughout the South East corner of Queensland and the North East corner of New South Wales enjoyed the newly resurfaced track without the aggression and testosterone fuelled race environment of men.
With the positive feedback and enthusiasm from all of the participants, another Ladies Day has been planned for Saturday, February 18th kicking off at 9am.
There will also be an Advanced Driver Training day just for the girls as well as a Women Only race at the Ipswich Open Sprints in March.
At each of the Ladies Days, women of all ages and abilities are invited to bring the car of their choice along. Instructors work with the ladies to improve their skill behind the wheel in a safe environment at a speed of their choice.
The Ladies Day was initiated by the Historic Racing Car Club (HRCC), when a number of ladies were interested in spending time on the track without their husbands. Tony Hastings of the HRCC brought the idea to Queensland Raceways and a day was developed for ladies to have time on the track in their car, at their speed regardless of whether it was a purpose specific race car or
their much loved daily driver.
Book your spot now by visiting LADIES DAY ENTRY FORM or calling 1800 RACERS.
Be sure to check out the calendar at http://www.qldraceways.com.au for more info or stay tuned to the Qld Raceways Facebook page to get involved in the conversation about upcoming events.
